 The matriarch of the Awolowo family, Chief (Mrs) Hannah Idowu Dideolu Awolowo passed away yesterday at the age of 99. Fondly remembered as the “jewel of inestimable value” of Nigerian nationalist, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, H.I.D Awolowo was a successful business woman in her own right.
