I don't even get it. BTW, if there's a devil anywhere to be stoned, he's in Nigeria. Religion has never made any much sense to critical thought.

Yea, right! Take a look at Africa that placed religion over critical/logical reasoning, what one gets is what Africa is now. No one is saying religion is bad but when it start taking the place of common sense and reasoning then there's a problem. Even God won't do for us what He has given us the ability to do.

Especially Nigerians- very religious and yet very backward and corrupt. Africa has to separate between religion and governance. The most religious nations are the poorest and underdeveloped.

Most times I try not to discuss religious matters because it can be crazy. It's just crazy that people will leave their house, travel to another country just to go stone the devil. Now see the shìít happening, over 700 people dead and the annoying part is that this isn't the first time it's happening.

Maybe they don't want the devil to know where they live just like you said hence the reason why they go looking for him.
