So for Chelsea to win a match, ts as difficult for a camel to pass through a needles eye. Atleast the atmosphere has been very conducive this season with chelseas deep form.

The guy u quoted is actually a learner. Where was he when Liverpool, Man u and Chelsea were constantly in the semis and finals respectively. Like you said, epl is probably going through some transition, not forgetting its intensity and competitiveness.

Journalist: You were beaten black and blue by your former team! grin grin

Mourinho: I think it doesn't take any team so much to beat an Epl side sitting gallantly on the 14th spot of the table after 7 games, GD: -3... grin grin

Journalist: Do you blame it on your poor performance in the EPL? Considering your team is the defending champion!

Mourinho: I don't know but I blame Wenger for putting such a bad performance against a greek side @ the emirates... grin grin

Journalist: You didn't watch the game!

Mourinho: I could feel it... grin grin

Journalist: Is that why Chelsea lost?

Mourinho: I don't like your question, but the best team lost... grin grin grin grin

Journalist: Chelsea has won only 4 games in the last 10 games! How do you stop Southampton next Saturday?

Mourinho: Do you have to remind me? I will throw 10 men behind the ball... grin

Journalist: You mean "pack d bus"...

Mourinho: Yes! We are best at it... grin grin

Journalist: Thank you Jose!

Mourinho: Thank Wenger... grin grin

true but La Liga is still generally boring to follow as only those 2 dominate .... I prefer watching the EPL, even if slightly inferior in football quality to RM & Barca because you have more parity within the league and thus more exciting/entertaining games.

The league is heating up. After the emergence of Atletico Madrid under Simeone, Villarreal and Celta Vigo are playing some amazing football this season. Last weekend Villarreal beat Atletico Madrid to remain unbeaten this season. Celta Vigo is also unbeaten this season and thrashed Barcelona 4-1.

You obviously know no Jack about football. At a point, Madrid only stopped at the quarters for three consecutive seasons until current Chelsea coach change that, then Liverpool, Man u and Chelsea had no issue getting to the semis or even finals. Go back memory lane, and count the number of times Chelsea got to the semi finals when Mourinho was initially in charge. Then, only Chelsea had the antidote to Barcelona. So don't come here to make pointless comparism. It's apparent that the rigidity and intensity of the EPL is the major challenge to their performance in the UCL, where smaller teams
are becoming a hard nut to crack, a fun. entirely missing from the laliga.

How is he a learner? He is complaining about the state of the EPL today and you guys are pointing out that the EPL was great in the past.

That is a bloody lie. When Man City were Champions of the EPL, we beat Stoke City but Barcelona used us the CITIZENS to make name. While Messi updated his YouTube clips with Milner.

The EPL is losing flair. Men, last week, I watched the Real Madrid vs Malaga game instead of Chelsea vs Newcastle because of the poor standard of EPL game.

When will an EPL team play with flair like the video below.

Football evolves. After Guardiola thrashed Bayern Munich with Barca, the teams in the German league took steps to up their game. For now, the EPL lacks behind technically. You can not say because they used to play well then, they are good.

Can you compare the Chelsea of today to the Chelsea with Drogba, Lampard and Ballack?

Can you compare Manchester United of today to the Man Utd with CR7, Tevez and Evra?

Or Liverpool of today to the team with Xabi Alonso, Mascherano and Gerard?
