Koko Mansion is a reality TV show Exclusively aired on HiTV beginning on the 1st of June.

It comprises 12 girls who will reside in a state-of –the-art mansion in Lagos City, while living lavishly as any Kokolette should. During these weeks, the young women will be groomed and tested in various Diva tasks and activities in order to determine the one with the greatest Koko Virtues.
Don’t get it twisted! A Kokolette is a “Fully endowed woman with intellectual property” likened to the “Betty Irabor’s” and “Nike Oshinowo’s” of today.

The show will exclusively portray the true lifestyle of the principal Character – D’Banj as a celebrity with a lot of razzmatazz.

The Kokolette who emerges as the winner will win:
• A Chris Aires Diamond ring,
• A brand new convertible car and N5million
• Most importantly, the winner will be D’Banjs Kokolette for one full year and will be his companion at public events both within and outside Nigeria.

im not hating but i have to be honest,this is utter rubbish, first of all this is not a viable option for dbanj or kokolette as a brand because his brand will be in danger of being over saturated,hence the reason you wont get beckham putting his name to every single thing just for the money or fifty cent e.t.c doing same also the whole thing wasnt though out properly just like everything nigerian,is he looking for a kokolette as in a wife?

So come June 1, the Koko master will be hosting some Kokolettes (ladies) exclusively for eight weeks in a mansion he has dubbed ‘Koko Mansion’ inside Parkview Estate, Lagos on a reality TV show that carries the same title. Supported by HITV, Koko Mansion will exclusively air on the wholly Nigerian satellite television.

Koko Mansion revolves around the quest of 12 beautiful, talented girls that will live in a mansion for eight weeks, to become the ideal Kokolette (wife). Being one of the most eligible bachelors around, D’banj will be hosting the show and would represent the ideal bachelor. He will represent the Nigerian man. His taste, comments and satisfaction would determine the fate of the girls. Of course, eviction would be exclusively determined by voting from viewers after listening to D’banj’s comments.

During the eight weeks, the young women will be groomed and tested in various activities in order to determine the one with the greatest Koko virtues, worthy of being a wife –a Kokolette. Some of these Koko virtues that the viewers, who are the ultimate judges in the intrigue-filled show, would be looking out for are: the ability of the Kokolette to cook and be an ideal African woman. “There is this misconception that the word ‘Kokolette’ is negative. No, we want to show people that the word stands for an ideal African woman”, Toyin Subair, CEO of HITV said during an interactive session.

A press statement signed by HITV head of communication, Justin Esade reads: “The Kokolette must also be industrious while being able to take care of the home front; her ability to be respectful and courteous at all times would be put to test. The potential Kokolette must be able to emulate notable women in society such as Honourable Abike Dabiri, Nike Osinowo, among others even as she shows the ability to impress D’banj, under all circumstances in order to win the public’s votes to be in the house among others. Top celebrities such as super model Oluchi, Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele (Jenifa) and celebrity hair stylist Bobbys would be invited to teach the ladies poise, ‘bigzs girls’ mannerisms and how to maintain a fashionable hair-style.”

The Kokolette, according to Morayo Aka-Bashorun, Business Development and Sales Manager, HiTV, must be a beautiful young lady, at least 18 years old. She must be smart and intellectually savvy; she must also possess a fun talent she is willing to explore and definitely a wife material. She must be well-cultured with sound domestic training, an absolute diva with the ability to get along with a diverse crowd.

The Kokolette must be someone with good moral values, independent and ambitious aside being a creative person. She must also be an excellent host, a very creative person who understands and can get along with the celebrity lifestyle of the hip hop star . Most importantly, she must be D’Banj’s number one fan. A video audition would help the panel determine the 12 finalists. According to Aka-Bashorun, there will be no evictions in the first week because the ladies would have to socialise and familiarise themselves with living in the mansion. However, eviction starts in the second week, where two ladies with the least number of votes from the viewers will be ushered out.

D’banj, however, reveals that he might get his wife from the house. “Who knows, I might get the right woman that I’ve been looking for in the house”, he said. The winner will go home with N5 Million and other assorted gifts.

The forms for the show, which would be sold for N5,000 will go on sales any moment from now

about dbanj. we all know its not that he is very good but they know how to market him. i for one has always believe that dbanj isn't a good musician but well managed and that where he is strong. he's got good managers who have turned him into a brand. big ups to him and his managers for that.

Even Dbanj has said it himself that he is just an entertainer. He doesnt really have talent. He just has attitude and that is what he puts in his music and performance and that works greatly.

how can they be tested in the area of music when the Koko master himself is deficient in that area?
i applaud the boom of the music industry in naija but the truth is that mediocrity has ruled for too long.

Abike Dabiri,Betty Irabor didn't have to stay in some mansion to become whatever they have become (i.e. respectable women in society).They went through tough and rough times to become who they are right now.
It's an insult to equate such stupidity with eminent people like these.

There are more ridiculous reality shows that do really well. In my opinion most reality shows are ridiculous,  thats why they do so well. People like "mindless" entertainment. D'banj is just a smart guy working the system. Don't hate the player, hate the game!

Also, when you see an entertainer on TV, they are playing a role. What you see is a  "product", and does not necessarily reflect the personality, intelligence, or virtues of the artist. It is a product of the artist's imagination that he/she feels people will find entertaining. If you do not like the product that is fine, but insulting an artist's person/character when you have never met him/her personally or had any dealings with him/her is kinda dumb in my opinion. Just my opinion though.

They say it makes for good viewings, ratings and makes money. oh well. . . . . . .

Well. I'm not against Dbanj as artist. I quite enjoy some of his songs. The production skills of his Producer, Don Jazzy, also amazes me. Don Jazzy is the guy that engineered Dbanj's success. However, I'm shocked that the guy is dabbling into reality shows. I'm really surprised. And from what I've read about Koko Mansion, the project will only contribute to the negative perception of Nigerian ladies. It is also true that sex sells in the world today. It is a crazy world out there. Why do Nigerian entertainers like to dabble into everything? D'banj does need to organize this show to get a good lady as his wife. What he wants to do with KOKO MANSION will only make our younger ladies believe that all what they need to do is to hook up with a wealthy young man and their future is assured. No time for hardwork and innovation!!! Cheers.
