Why don't you drown yourself in the nearest river? You only manage to mutter one Nigeria, but is obvious, you don't mean it from your post.

Sometime today I took a bike from Mararaba junction heading to Aso.
We've covered about 40% of the journey when I heard the "click click" sound of a broken chain. The okada guy stopped, inspected the bike and advised me to take another bike as his can't make the rest of the trip.

After a while, one okada guy came along,I waved him down and asked him to take me to my destination.
I informed him that I bargained 100 naira with the first dude so they should negotiate the price.
The first dude asked him to take 60naira and give him 40naira since he(new okada guy) will cover most of the distance.

The new okada guy just looked at the broken chain and said something in hausa which neither of us (both of us were Christians and southerners) understood.

But from his gesticulation I deduced he was asking me to give the whole sum to the first okada rider.
I demonstrated to him to be sure of what he meant and he nodded in affirmation. I was puzzled at this act of kindness and generosity especially because it was geared towards a different religion and tribe.
Thereafter, the Hausa, muslim okada rider took me to my destination without charge.

I put this little story up here to make you tribal and religious bigots understand something; Nigeria is not one, that may be true. But the division is not across ethnic or religious lines.
The boundary is between the thieving elites
and the suffering commoners.
That's why an Akpabio will be supporting a Saraki.

So before you throw jabs at that man because of his religion and tribe, understand that he is also a victim of the situation.

#GodBlessNigeria.

Village man. Better go apply for the job of a village masquerade and stop wasting your talent of clannishness here. You think your little rants and that of your kinsmen will stand in the way, you dey dream. Like it or not, the unity of the country is nonnegotiable.

Very true.... Hausas to me are the nicest tribe in Nigeria.

I remember a story one of my Big bros told me when he went over there for his service. He and his friend went to their market, he wanted to buy potatoes of N200 worth, when they got there to buy it was like half a bag for that amount and they felt it was too much and tried to buy just N50 worth. The Hausa man selling it said it isn't possible, but instead he gave them for free. They are very kind....

The only thing I think is wrong with Majority of Hausas is "Ignorance", that's where the issue of education sets in, because they can easily be brainwashed into believing crap.

Western Education should go along with their Islamic Education

I think the OP made it quite clear that though Nigeria may not be one but the division isnt along ethnic and religious lines in the sense that the struggling common man doesnt have d tym for bigotry and even when u c him exhibiting such it is because he is a victim of the circumstance created by the Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo elites!

Yes, the tales we have been fed on are tales of wickedness of one tribe against the other but are there also tales like this where some have risen above such base instincts? Of course, I can tell u a tale of a neighbor-an Igbo lady who was hidden in a mosque 4 3wks in a crises in Jos by her muslim friend family. I wont deny examples of other gruesome acts but like Chimamanda in her wisdom posited, there is grave danger is a single narrative!

If we fall for this trap of bigotry that I see many youths fallin for especially on Nland, we take our eyes off the elites' ills and we carnibalise each other! We lose, they Win!

What @Obsequious said is so true,we need to look at such ignoble acts that accentuate our difference on a case by case basis.

Wow!!! Thank you so much for breaking down the essence of the story. May God bless you.

GO GREEN, GO SOLAR, INVITE ENERGYWORLD LIMITED
Fossil fuel(eg, petroleum products, petrol and diesel) has come of age and has contributed to environmental pollution and human damages. Talk of the emissions of fossil fuel which have caused ozone layer depletion, green house effect ,climate change and ambient temperature rise.
the world is concerned about the negative effects of fossil fuel emission, that is why we are campaigning for clean air and this can be achieved by going green (using alternative energy supplies). EnergyWorld limited is campaigning for clean air by going into solar energy system installations and maintenance.Nigeria should be at the fore front of encouraging Go green,go solar campaign because we are greatly affected by being in the tropical region of the world where the ambient temperature is already high. lets consider the changes in Nigeria climate condition now,we no longer experience harmattan when due, flooding is on the increase because of the melting of the ocean ice which is as a result of increase in the anbient temperature, sea level is rising.
Contact us ENERGYWORLD limited for solar street installation, solar system for residences, offices, churches, borehole etc, consultancy call 08069487971 or email us on stevkc2007@yahoo.com. we serve you anywhere

Yes. I understand what you experienced. Being one born and brought up in core north. I have seen even better. Generally speaking, the hausa and related tribes tend to be very sincere and straightforward I tell you. It's that simplistic nature some southerners tend to mistake for foolishness or stupidity. My brother bashed one of thems car from behind terribly. I was just coming in from Lagos at the time so I knew what to expect. The guys just looked, and said we thank God and accepted my brothers apology without a fuss and left, shikena. Unfortunately this same simplicity can make it easy for them to be indoctrinated and become selfless efficient suicide bombers. Which Emeka will agree to tie bomb on his neck and die? They will rather make the bomb and market it to those who want to go and die. Or is it the Yoruba man who is busy bragging that he is the smartest most intelligent man in the world, who likes to enjoy life with merriment and colour that you will tell to hang bomb on his neck? Fear no go gree am seff. This simplicity also gives the hausa big advantage in politics. The whole mass of people will rally around one candidate with little coercion whereas their I-too-know counterparts, all smarter-than-everyone opponents would be uncountable each unwilling to play the fool and step down for the other. And to the op, Please know it's not a religion thing per say. The hausa Christians are equally so inclined. It's just that politically speaking they are being terribly marginalised or should I say persecuted now? You will hear stories that will melt your heart enough to shed tears. I am a witness, I was not told. All in all, the North used to be a very wonderful place to stay. Things are becoming another thing these days. You can be buying carrot on the roadside now and KABOOM! You are on your way to the afterlife! Just like that O!

What truth?
Lying about your ethnicity is truth?
Or painting a whole ethnic group black is truth?
You want to collectively stand and oppose the Igbos on Nairaland who do not want the progress of this nation according to you, but will suggest nothing and turn a blind eye on Hausa-fulani/Kanuri Bombing and brutally murdering innocent Nigerians day and night.

I have every time to pick to pieces the mischievousness in that retardèd post of yours but I will ignore you and that post, your type full Nairaland so no be the first time wey I dey see senseless stuffs like that.
