I studied chemical engineering too but now I'm working as a corrosion/materials engineer.

Chemical engineering is an awesome career because you can work anywhere. Its very broad.

My main advice in university will be to stay on top of everything. Do assignments on time. Study well before exams. You will be fine.

WOW.
Raayah, i see u everywhr i go..
Can we be friends

i have thought about a project,i think recycling is very important, and i plan to put this in thought constantly when i start uni 2017,because its very important that we take care of our environment.it irritates me so much when i see a person throwing rubbish in open places, and not keeping until they find a dustbin.rubbish should be put in dustbin smiley ......(this includes rubbish people too lol)..... cheesy

Nice thread,@op thanks for bringing it on.
Well i know this thread is for females and if a guy must comment gladly give your point and never castigate another...else just read the comments and walk away undecided
Anyway i am a trained electrical and electronics engineering.Really EEE is very vast ranging from power, electronics, telecom, electrical,IT and microelectronic. If you intend to go into this area, try to discover the part you can specialize in after graduation.
There are other fields of engineering and i must say women are doing great in STEM.
I encourage our girls to come in and explore the world of endless possibilities and creativity........chemical,civil,structural,mechanical,petroleum,metallurgical and the rest.
I am working on a project on power......renewable energy. When the time is ripe it will be made known to all.
Note- Engineering is demanding and challenging, daily new techniques and innovation comes up and if you are not in tune with time....you will be left out. Many forces like the society and culture will discourage you, dont give in.............many women have made it and still making it.So you can. wink
I dont regret being an engineer....so proud of my self and what i stand for. cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy
