Northerners are meeting.to change the penal code system. How many Yoruba Governors are aware of this and its impact nationally and its effect on our citizens resident in North, and if any, what is their response to it?
We call Northerners backward and dull.....it doesn't appear so.

Nigeria has three legal systems recognized by the Constitution

Common Law.
Customary Law.
Sharia Law.

What legal system are they setting up a committee to review? If it's the common law, it is not their duty to review common law. If it's sharia law, it is still not their duty to review Sharia law. If it's customary law, they have overstepped their boundaries and should be cautioned.


Can someone please alert our educated but unenlightened Governors of these dangers.
