Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by justwise(m): 12:12pm On Oct 16, 2016 |
Kukuful1014: Nobody can accurately predicate what your chances are even the ECO will not tell you that until you make your application. In terms of list of documents to submit..please read few pages back because we have listed them over and over again here from page one to this very page ..just to add...you need to explain in your application form what you will be doing in the UK for one month |

justwise: Ok get ur point justwise, I meant to ask if my finances are good enough. With the documents, I thought of add my 6 months bank statement, my leave letter, my uncle's bank statement and other relevant documents, want to knw if my ties to my country's is enough since I'm single and only have a job. Also with the explanation of why I'm spending one month, will I be given a space on the application form to write my explanation or I would have to write on a different paper and add to my documents. The last question is must I necessary prove my relationship with my uncle since he is my moms brother nd we don't have the same sir name, I only have a couple of mails between us nd he has sent me money once this month |

blackme: The above quote was a part of my interaction on this forum in february 2016, fast forward to October2016 and I'm glad to inform you that I not only got my UK visa, I equally got my US visa making it double testimony. I will explain in details how events unfolded but for now I just want to thank all on this forum especially @kennyscanny @justwise for their advice during the trying period. It would be a great disservice to your efforts if i failed to come back on this forum to share my testimony. May the blessings of the Lord continually locate you guys, I appreciate. Thanks |

Hello house,i intend to visit the uk in few months time, my concern is that am on a salary of about 200k but once i get alert of salary payment i move it all into another savings account where i have bulk of my money. Do i need to present my salary account which has no tangible balance, what could be the implication if i do not submit it. will my payslip, employment letter, my last promotion letter be enough, showing my present earnings be enough. has anyone been in this situation and how did it go with them? thanks. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by mike234: 6:42pm On Oct 18, 2016 |
lexyj123: I was also in same situation when i applied. I submitted statement for my salary account with a balance less than a thousand naira and then backed it up with savings account statement. So i think you really do not a problem there. Just explain all to the ECO via the additional info box or write a letter. All da best. |

Hello Gurus, I'm done reading the thread from part 2-3, it's an everyday motivation however, I will be applying in December as im taking my time to build my bank statement. Here are the questions I want to ask for now; 1) Is it okay to book a hotel 8km away from where tourist attractions are? 2) I have other source of income which is my land that generates income, can i explain to the ECO in an additional box or do I have to write a cover letter in a company letter headed paper? I intend to stay for 7 days, my monthly salary is 200k after tax and the account balance should be 1.1M. Won't it be a problem if im spending 2 and half months of my salary on the trip? Pls advice me |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by youseuph(m): 9:24pm On Oct 20, 2016 |
Hello everyone. Please I need clarification on the general belief that one's budget should not exceed two months salary. For instance if one is on salary of 150k per month, does it mean that one's budget shld not be more than 300k which I don't think is feasible. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by FavNigeria: 11:38pm On Oct 20, 2016 |
Peony200: Honestly to get your husband's UK visa and your Canadian visa after these refusals will pose a threat especially if you don't any travel history. Please be careful and make sure you really do your homework well particularly the issue of funds and bank statements before applying again. Good luck. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by FavNigeria: 11:46pm On Oct 20, 2016 |
youseuph: That belief is baseless. The budget for your trip will depend on many factors like the nature of the trip, the duration of your stay and how many of you are travelling among others. For example, 300k can never be enough as a budget if you're travelling with your family. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by FavNigeria: 11:53pm On Oct 20, 2016 |
ifeoluwasegun:I'm sorry to inform you that all naira master cards whether credit or debit have been suspended from payment of all online intentional transactions. Not only Gtb but its now all banks. In the last 2 weeks Gtb has been reducing their master card daily and monthly limits and now they have all suspended it. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by justwise(m): 6:45am On Oct 21, 2016 |
youseuph: Spending more than 2months of your salary on a visit to the UK means that you don't earn enough to afford that trip and you don't have strong ties to Nigeria. With Nigeria in recession and the fall in Nigeria you need a stronger ties to Nigeria to be able to get a visa to the U.K. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by justwise(m): 6:51am On Oct 21, 2016 |
segzy0: 1. Not really a problem but it depends on the city you are visiting in the U.K. 2. Any, whether in the form or cover letter. Do a break down of the trip first then you will know whether 2 and half will afford you a trip to the U.K during Christmas period. 1 Like |
