They think the world end in youruba world

Allow them to confuse themselves. One was even talking of going to national theatre to watch stage play.

We know when VHS came out, and who started mass producing films.

There were ichoku, new madquerade, things fall apart, willy willy etc shown on NTA then.

Small pikin.

Kosoko made his name with Ojo Ladipo theatre.

Olu Jacob made his name through Hollywood movie called Ashanti, while Elliot made his name via Super Story.
Ask you mother if you doubt my claims.

Super story indeed!

Ojo ladipo whatever is yoloba concern. Do u know ichoku?

The world does not end in yoloba land. Nollywood brot these actors to national appeal.

U know the truth but trying to hide it.

Ask ur father, he will tell u better.

Before the term Nollywood, before NEK VIDEO LINKS's living in bondage, Yorubas have been producing movies though mostly for cinemas, but they were also distributed on videos also. Yorubas were the pioneers of the movie industry in Nigeria. Movie production did not start i Nigeria in 1992. Jide kosoko, Bello, Baba sala, Baba suwe, Pappy luwe, Jagua, Ajirebi (pa james) Fadeyo oloro, Ogogo Orisabunmi et al were already very popular and were household names before living in bondage came out in 1992.

Abeg see lie, which Cinema movies were Yorubas producing? Yorubas were only acting stage play and dramas.

My point is, igbo producers made them popular when they we're featuring them in nollywood films. These guys became popular and rich then started yorubawood championed by jide kosoko due to the tussle in leadership of actors guild.

This is known fact
You may be pardon because that is that your age can take.
Yoruba start doing films in the early 70s and were shown in cinema in Europe. Please dont teach your children this.

Have you ever read or researched the history of Nigerian motion picture? I very much doubt it going by your assertion above. To think someone even liked your post means you have succeeded in misinforming somebody.

Sometimes, it's nice to put the ethnic thing aside and discuss issues objectively. As an example, why do you think they named a popular area of Agege in Lagos Pen Cinema?

The only people misinforming people here are you Yorubas desperately trying to rewrite history. Yorubas only did stage plays and Dramas not Cinema movies.
