Ibeto was dropped on political grounds . There was a protest from Niger state that Ahmad ibeto is from the same zone where the state governor come from; as such , they(the protesters from the states) felt it won't be fair for BUHARI to pick a minister from the zone that produced the incumbent governor. It was against this backdrop that the two nominees from Niger state , that's talking about IBETO and Abubakar Bawa Bwari
(though nominated from the FCT and , ofcourse , you know the FCT people want their own on the list) met , discussed and it was agreed that Ibeto should step down for Bawa.


For the record, BUHARI did not drop Ahmad Ibeto on ground of corruption or anything like that.


BUHARI is not confused as people are already insinuating ; he's firm and on top of the situation.
