The spokesperson wasn't truthful. They rejected their salaries because of disagreement with government on salary scale not that Government refused to pay them. What they are fighting is Government reduction of their salary scale to be at per with other ministries and other States.

I was in Owerri over the weekend while ewu-awusa was busy socialising with his real brothers. What immediately strikes you in Owerri is the very bad condition of roads and the resultant hold - ups all over the town.
