As the face-off between the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo  Aladelusi, and the leader of the Igbo community in the town, Mr. Gregory Iloehike, is yet to be resolved, the monarch has banned the title of ‘Eze Ndi Igbo‘ in Akureland.

The Deji also ordered the title to be reviewed and replaced with a non-controversial honorary tittle.

These were a few of the conditions given by the monarch to end the crisis and also to allow Igbo traders the freedom to continue operating their businesses in the community.

The traditional rulers dethroned the Igbo leader last week and stopped his followers from operating their business following an alleged rude behaviour by Iloehike to the Akure paramount ruler at the Deji’s palace during the Igbo leader’s meeting with Oba Aladelusi.

Oba Aladelusi ha equally instructed that the dethroned Eze must apologise for his unruly behavior in at least three national dailies as well as go on air to also tender an apology.

He was also ordered to write a letter of apology to the monarch and the Deji-in-Council.

Oba Adelusi also directed that the Igbo leader should stop wearing any form of crown and must comply with all the directives of the palace.

It was learnt that the state governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, met with the two leaders separately on Tuesday evening at the Governor’s Office, Alagbaka, Akure, when he reportedly pleaded with the Akure traditional ruler to forgive the embattled Igbo leader.

At the meeting, it was gathered that the governor maintained that the Igbo leader could not go against the tradition and custom of the land as there was no basis or constitutional backing for such attitude.

Mimiko, however, thanked the youths of the town, praising them for their maturity and peaceful disposition towards the matter.

The traditional ruler maintained that a truce could then be brokered once the conditions were met.

As a result of the crisis, all shops occupied by Igbo people at the Moferere Market, Akure, remained closed at of the time of filing this report.

"A prince shall emerge by the trigger of a gun and many princes shall envy him and try to destroy him but all will be a failure" this was the prophecy of nostradamus 400years ago and if you look at the gun shaped world map you'll find out that africa is located at the trigger point and when you look at the trigger point of the map of africa you'll find out that the south east and south south region of nigeria is at the trigger point and that is to tell you thatthis man's prophecy was pointing at the emergence of biafra and that should convince you that the emergence of biafra is spiritual beyond humancomprehension and no amount of pressure by the zoo can stop biafra from emerging even by arresting nnamdi kanu...i know that they may be trying to cajole him into accepting their bribe so as to stop telling the truth just like they did to ifeajuna uwazuruike but i trust my able director he won't accept their offer...no man born of a woman shall sink the biafran ship from sailing to it's destination...my people the egyptians u see's today, very soon you shall begin to see them no more

Deji Who?

As long as Nigeria continues Eze Ndiigbo in Ondo continues.

The constitution provides for that. We are not in an absolute monarch.

Monarchs have no constitutional powers.

Wise step and good decision from the kabiyesi.
Let the arrogant idiotic counterfeit spare-parts dealer return to his eroded and deserted Biafra village to rule as Eze.

It is only dirty yorubas that have to invite a person as a guest only to attack them.

Something that the entire world refer to as cowardice. But i suppose it is yoruba culture to be cowards.

Can America invite a guest and kill, jail or harm them? No! It is undiplomatic, uncivilised and a war crime. This is the strongest nation on the planet, that am talking about. Likewise the poorest nations observe the same standard. Yorubas are the only exception to this in the world.
