according to hiroz , .....Rivers camp is ok.it is quite expansive..with multiply halls of residence.boys and girls hostels have sm little demarcations.the rooms are large with like 50bunks per room,so nothing like personal space.toilet n bathrums are ok the food aint so bad.but when it rains,the camp is messed up,mud everywhere...after camp,nothing like oil money,everybody na teacher..serving in obio/akpor l.g.a which is also 1 of the l.g.a that covers porth harcourt city... |

according femi1743 .... I am B14 currently serving in Port Harcourt LGA....firstly...forget about stateallowance as the state has not been paying since 2012....Secondly, do not expect much as corp members that did not study health related disciplines in the university will be teaching (tho I alsowork in an oil and gas servicing company). Also, accommodation challenges are predominant in PH.. |

If u runs ur ppa to porthacourt be ready to pay for accommodation by urself and accommodation no be beans oooo house de expensive for porthacourt oooo 80k upward but dere re some other lga dat make sense where u can get free accommodation and also second ppa dat can serve as source of income for u my brother porthacourt cityno easy oooo, and more so if u re posted to porthacourt after services de will pay u 55k but if u re posted to remote area u re to be pay 110k at d endof service year so choose wisely but if u have sure link in porthacourt dere re lot of big opportunity in Port only if u have someone dat can help u, house, transport no be beans for PH |

someone asked this question about rivers.. ... Pls what areas can one get constant power supply nd also where the principals pay well. And here is the reply from liadi2.... if re posted to porthacourt no light oooo de running on generator but dere re some community where oil company is supplying dem power with constant power supply an water Eg onelga, but u must be in omoku, obrikom, Mgbede, Aggah, Erema, Dere lot of places but choose wisely |

@liadi2... my brother life in pH no be smalltin oooo, even in camp de don't normallypost people to porthacourt because of accommodation issue but if u can sort urself out den de will post u dere u need to know someone dat can help u or if u Ave relative or u have a company dat u want to work with den u re good to go dere re also some area in Rivers Sate dat don't have network and dere means of transport is boat 2k for transport wen u re going to sectariat for vouching or any emergency and remember we re only depending on 19600 in Rivers oooo, but u can get secondary ppa like lesson teaching in another school dat can fetch u token. |

Jacobs91:pls note, according to what ex corpers said, camp is always open on the day nysc appropriated so if you go on Monday you won't be allowed in until Wednesday 28. I myself stays in Abuja but will be leaving on Thursday. camp will open on Thursday. so make u no go come on Monday come dey find were u go stay, unless u have people there. |
