The Emir of Borgu Kingdom(in Niger State), His Royal Highness, Alhaji Haliru Dantoro III is dead. The former senator who turbanned Asiwaju Bola Tinubu 'Jagaba Borgu' is said to have died in a London hospital after a brief illness. The APC National Leader's friendship with Dantoro spanned 2 decades. Tinubu and Dantoro met in the days of the 3rd Republic when they were both elected into the Senate. Tinubu was an SDP Senator and Dantoro was elected on the platform of the NRC. Tinubu took to Twitter to express his shock on the Emir's death. According to his tweet, "Today I received with shock,disbelief and sadness news of the sudden death of Alhaji Dantoro,Mai Borgu.
