Abagworo: For the benefit of your readers, can you provide such evidence of lies where Igbos misrepresented facts about GEJ's negligence? |

Firefire: The truth as acknowledge by Firefire This is just s fraction of the rot midwifed by PDP. Funny enough, opinion here is unanimous because the subject matter is evidenced, no insults. But if it were said that such road was awarded and the money was internally displaced within PDP( highly probable), there woulb be a cacophony of insults and ethnoreligious brouhaha. The Baba I know is fair and just to all. The SE shall be rescued from their self imposed isolationism. |

All these senators touring finally after 16 years of PDP. All the money wasted on allowances and stolen to western banks would have built quality roads that don't get washed away by one year of rain. Is it a surprise it rains a lot in Southern Nigeria?? |
Re: Senators On Tour Of Federal Roads In South-East Nigeria (Photos) by scholes0(m): 3:22pm On Nov 02, 2015 |
Abagworo: That right there. There are virtually no natural forests left in the South East anymore. whereas the SW still has huge swathes of Ogun, Southern Osun and Ondo, also Edo state, that are purely forest. check Google maps. |

The weather and soil in Southern Nigeria is similar to Southern USA. And yet roads built 50 years ago in the US are still excellent. Also the weather in US has more temperature extreme which puts more stress on the roads and yet the roads are good. In a country like Nigeria where Most of the money is stolen before reaching the contractor. How can we get good roads. Lilimax: |

October1960: Rainfall figures in most of Southern Nigeria exceeds that obtainable in the southern US states. |

ceometromedia: Another publicity stunt by the lawbreakers, after which millions will be voted for zero implementation of road construction contracts like the lagos ibadan express, east west road ,abuja lokoja road. These guys pretend to go on tour as an excuse to go to local joints to drink palmy and eat bush meat. |

[quote author=apoti post=39608280]Can someone explain why the SE tenaciously supported GEJ during the last election, other than he is ‘our brother’. What exactly did he do for the SE region to deserve their block support and votes? The SE has doggedly and overwhelmingly voted for PDP at federal, state and local government levels over the past 16 years. All we can see are bad roads destroyed by erosion and flood, and the 2nd Niger Bridge built on paper and political appointments that has no impact on the common man on the street. Until we remove the veil of ethnic and religious bigotry from our eyes and start holding our leaders responsible irrespective of their tribes or political affliation, we will not see any meaningful development in Nigeria. It's so disheartening to note that people like you still exist. When you say that PDP made a mess of our democracy for the past 16 years, then, you will be so quick to forget that, the same PDP is still in charge. It baffles me why most of our youths don't reason properly. Imagine Obasanjo the navigator of our darling ruling party. Timipre Silva, who could be easily used as an example of total failure, is also among the progressives? The only considerable member of APC is BRF, irrespective of the fact that, he massively looted his state dry. To make matters worse, we were promised of heavenly ministers, alas, NA THE SAME PEOPLE. These people has one intention, which is loot, loot and loot the more. They are the same people for Pete's sake. In essence, I'm still waiting for the change. 1 Like |

You are correct sir. I was responding to a comment about rainfall and soil being possible impediment to building good roads. Despite the soil and rainforest conditions with proper leadership and management of our commonwealth good roads can be built and maintained in the SE in particular Nigeria in general. scholes0: |

xtrorse: How dyu define negligence of the south south by Jonathan, didnt we have 2 administrators heading the NDDC from the south south during Jonathan time? What did they do with the opportunity given to them , they just embezzled funds meant to develop roads in the region, till date the east west road which covers bayelsa, rivers akwaibom and crs is yet to be completed, look at aba ph road? look at imo ph road just to mention but a few. What about the governors of the south south , what did they do with the allocations from FG they just embezzled the funds, governors of abia, imo, ebonyi, delta, rivers crs just to mention but a few did nothing for their states with FG allocations they just embezzled the funds, Instead of living in denial of these facts you should hold these govs accountable for the deplorable state of affairs in their regions (South east included) Stop blaming GEJ, igbos have been flourishing in Nigerian since independence a number of multi millionaires in the country are from the Sout east, your talk of neglect holds no water, its your leaders who betrayed you , no one else is to blame. |
