Good day sir,
Please i intend to set up a grasscutter and snail farm somewhere around Abeokuta in Ogun state. Presently i have ten acres of land for this venture because i wish to do both ventures on a commercial basis.

I would wish you help me in the following regard;

1. Is grasscutter and snail farming on a commercial basis really lucrative? Will i be having challenges as regards market if i do them on such large scales (i'm looking at dedicating 5 acres to each venture)

2.. To construct and set up both farm ventures on my facility and ensure you help me create a sustainable management practice by transferring the management procedures to farm workers.

3. cost of setting up both farms for me on a ten acre land (advise me if its too much), cost of getting breeder snails and breeder grasscutters which i believe you have.

Hello Folks, Snails are hermaphrodite, which means they have both male and female parts capable of producing both sperm and eggs; however they still require another snail to mate with to reproduce. Courtship can last up to half an hour, pair of snails raise the sole of their feet off the ground and bring them together. At the same time they rock their bodies to and fro and actively caress one another with their greatly extended tentacles. The snail lays a number of eggs per clutch averages around 5-200 {depending on the specie} in the soil. A snail may lay 4-6 clutches per year with a hatching viability of about 70-90%.
