D’Banj said at a recent interview that he had been in communication with DRISS regarding a collabo, when the famed actor sent him the beats for the hit song which D’Banj liked and did his take on, sent back to Idris Elba aka DRISS and Shadowboxxer (an American rap artist), and together they recorded the song, shot the video by acclaimed movie director Thomas Ikimi and the rest as they say is history.

Idris Elba is a UK born actor of Ghanaian/Sierra Leone descent. He has a slew of successful box office movies and awards to his credit, but what a lot of people do not know, is that he’s an accomplished rapper and DJ.

Idris Elba has actually been spotted many times with African musicians, and this is actually his second feature on a song (that we know off). His first was on the remix of Ghanaian rap group VVIP’s ‘Selfie’ song.
Idris Elba, acknowledged in the African music industry as Driis. Some who are familiar with the actor may not know his infatuation with African music. Something he has expressed in various interviews.
