Ahmed Bola Tinubu, one of the principal chieftains of the All Progressives Congress, has sent his congratulations to all the Nigeria Ministers who were sworn in today, reminding them of the enormity of the challenge ahead of them. APC National Leader, Bola Tinubu greeted by Gov. Nasir El Rufai of Kaduna today In a brief statement, he stressed that they will now begin the hard work of helping President Muhammadu Buhari to deliver on the promise of change to which he committed. “People's expectations are very high and expectedly so,” the former governor of Lagos State said. “The people's hope is hinged on the change our party promised. You are now the foot soldiers of that change. You have to be creative, proactive and bold. You are men and women of talent and experience of the moment and are lucky to be chosen. After the luck comes work.” He pointed out that this is a new dawn for Nigeria, as virtually every facet of her national life needs urgent attention. “After the devastating effects of the mismanagement by the previous administration on our economy and the psyche of Nigerians you have been selected to help bring Nigeria back from the brink. Your assignment will not be easy. You bear the responsibility to move Nigeria forward into the rank of developed nations.” Mr. Tinubu underlined his words with a quote from Aneesh Chopra’s "Innovative State," saying the words resonate for all the Ministers today: "This is about creating an innovative State. A government for the 21st Century. One that engages its diverse society, encourages participation and creates a partnership towards problem solving". Of course, they will. It's no longer business as usual. They have no option but to follow the footsteps of their boss. |

I confident that these sets of ministers will deliver. Buhari has put them on the spotlight. Nigerians are increasingly politically aware (thanks to Jonathan's maladministration). |
