APC under Buhari has set a very bad precedence on the separation of powers, politics and governance. These distractions are bound to continue till 2019.

These has nothing to do with national interest. Every move will either be Pro Buhari, Pro Tinubu, Pro Saraki, Pro APC chieftains and nearly anti- masses.

Its one thing to secure power, its another thing to manage it.

Practising true federalism/regionalism is what will make us great as a nation and in a very short period.

Every state managing whatever resources it has. Yes some will have more that some initially but who said a state like Bayelsa cannot do business with zamfara for mutual benefit.

Dogara and Saraki are gradually trying to usurp the powers of the president. These guys have a grand plan, no doubt. Ask yourself, why is this coming days after Dogara visited Atiku.

Too much power in one man's hand is dangerous - lucky dube

Hmmm... this is most like a single Police Inspector who is always at Attention!

The baton in his trouser confirms it.

I'm so suprise seeing too many comments in opposition to this all important idea. Decentralization of Nigerian Police Force will help in a greater way in ensuring proper security of lives and properties in this nation. I think, this is one of the resolutions of the recently concluded National Conference.
Well I see nothing Bad in decentralization of the police but like Nigerians that we have always been we are so quick to start a project without calculating the cost. Have u considered that some states won't have the money to pay police men or even equip them, we should be talking abt, fighting for resource control first before even talking abt the TSA or even decentralization of the police. Now for u to give the law makers right to appoint or fire service chiefs I must say is the worst thing that will ever happen to any country's security cos without even informing the presidency they can fire or hire if they feel there is a romance they don't like btw the president and service chief which is a bad omen to security in the country cos the security meetings they normally have can't hold if the lawmakers are not represented and any quick decision they make have to go through the lawmakers for approval. Fight for resource control first before anything.

national guard is a part of the reserved components of the united States army. They are in every state but are not decentralized

national guard is a part of the reserved components of the united States army. They are in every state but are not decentralized
they serve at the behest of the governor and are only called to help when country is at war
but if federal misbehave or refuse to back a state
the governor can order them to uphold state law
the very definition of decentralisation
