All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Bayelsa State, Chief Timipre Sylva, unveiled his blue print to transform the state if he is elected December 5 .

Before an enthusiastic audience of party apparatchiks, supporters and private sector moguls, the former governor rolled a four-pronged programme that he said will “liberate the people of my state from the poverty and fear.”

“The four legs stand as the standard of my administration,” said Sylva. The four pillars include one, to enhance revenue and diversify the economy; two, job and wealth creation; wellbeing and security; and four, effective public service.

In a presentation that lasted about 35 minutes, Chief Sylva said his programmes are integrated and designed to affect the lives of Bayelsans at all levels.

He said that the people of Bayelsa State have keyed into the change mantra of the APC and are looking forward to meaningful leader.

“Bayelsans are yearning for a change as 99 percent of Bayelsans are not feeling the impact of governance in the state,” he noted. More than ever before, the need for a change in guard is now urgent to stop the bleeding, reposition the state to deliver high-quality democratic dividends to the citizenry and pull the people out of poverty.”

On the first pillar, he said it would entail agricultural development, infrastructure renewal and tourism. A diversified economy would put Bayelsa State on the right track, he said.

His job and wealth creation will focus on education, trade and services as well as youth development. On wellbeing and security, he noted that the core areas include health care, peace and conflict resolution and the environment.
Speaking to applause, he said he was ready and Bayelsans are ready.

Earlier the head of his campaign and minister of state for agriculture, Chief Heineken Lokpobri, praised the candidacy of Sylva and noted that about 75 percent of Bayelsans have indicated the zeal to vote incumbent Governor Seriake Dickson in less than a month.

Goodwill messages were delivered by a wide range of supporters and party leaders.
On behalf of the business community, goodwill messages were delivered by Capital Market Giants; Johnson Chukwu and Sonnie Ayere. Also present was Prince Nicholas Okoye and a host dignitaries.

Singer Omowumi graced the stage with a few of her cardinal music.
