Audu, it was gathered started vomiting blood shortly after casting his vote on Saturday and sharing a meal with the APC National Leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Lokoja. Audu eventually passed on at about 6 am on Saturday morning while election results were being collated.

When did he cast his vote? Accreditation started at about 8am on Saturday, he casted his vote at about 12noon and then passped on again at about 6am same Saturday...!!!

Who says autopsy couldn't have been carried out? If late Abubakar Audu's people and political associates were serious and determined about finding out the real cause of his death, all they would have done was to invite medical experts who would then take blood sample, hair, tissue and stomach contain for medical investigation.

Taking those items would not have taken more than one hour, and with that, his burial according to Islamic injunction would still have held, and doubts about what killed him would have been dispersed.

But as it is, I'm not sure that was done. And if that is the case, whatever allegation being levelled now will amount to "our words against theirs". Just how the IG of Police will sit in his office and determine what killed Audu, without any medical investigation, emains to be seen.

Our attention was drawn to a press release by a faceless group called kogi united forum. The group is calling the Inspector General of Police to commence immediate investigation into what they describe as the suspected assassination of Prince Abubakar Audu, a former governor of Kogi state & gubernatorial candidate of the All progressive congress (APC) in the Nov 21, gubernatorial election in kogi state.

The All Progress Congress Youth League would not have dignify these faceless forum with a response but accusing the National Leader of APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of allegedly masterminding the assassination of Late Prince Audu is not only nauseating but reckless.

We Call on the leaders and people of Kogi state to denounce the group and all those behind such inciting allegation should be apprehended and prosecuted.

We commiserate with the family of Prince Audu, people of Kogi and APC on the unfortunate circumstances that lead to the death of Prince Audu. Now is the time for the people of Kogi and APC to come together to ensure the change project started by Prince Audu is completed in kogi state.
