Violence Erupts In Lagos, As Tricycle Kills Soldier by resty4(m): 9:31pm On Nov 24, 2015
Violence reportedly erupted in the Ajegunle area of Lagos state, following an accident in which a commercial tricycle killed a soldier.
Leadership reports that in reaction to the mishap, angry soldiers went beserk and attacked drivers of tricycles, mini-buses and private cars.

The soldier whose death stirred the controversy, was said to be riding a motorcycle along Ojo road, when a misunderstanding ensued between him and the tricyclist.
Sources say the in the deceased soldier’s attempt to hold the driver of the tricycle, he dived and but missed his target.
On landing, the military man reportedly got pierced in the neck by a sharp object in front of the vehicle.
He died on the spot, while the tricycle driver and passengers quickly fled the scene.
Soldiers at Mile Two Signal Barracks, caught wind of the unfortunate incident and swiftly trooped down to the scene.
On confirming the report, they angrily vented their anger on any commercial vehicle they saw on the way.
They allegedly smashed the windscreens of tricycles, commercial mini-buses and few private vehicles.
People plying the Suru-Alaba route, were forced to raise their hands as they trekked home, and those who did not raise their hands were flogged with horse whip and planks.
Nigerian Army
Julius Okoro Alawari, the commander of Apapa police command, put a call to the General Officer Commanding (GOC) the barracks to assist the police by calling back the soldiers.
Following the call, the soldiers were ordered to return to their Baracks, and normalcy was restored.
In all, the irate soldiers smashed the windscreens of over 30 tricycles, 20 commercial buses and private vehicles.
Meanwhile, two men have laid complaints over how they were maltreated by soldiers within the Mushin area of Lagos state.
The men, Lasisi Sherifdeen and Ayorinde Adewale, said they were brutally beaten for an offence the officers committed.https://www.naij.com/647618-panic-violence-erupts-tricycle-kills-soldier-lagos.html
