The £3,000 is supposed to be for those "WHO WILLINGLY REPORT FOR SELF DEPORTATION" and not those who were grabbed, for one immigration offense or the other.

The way this article is written, you will think everybody deported was to be given £3,000.

I don't think this is true. People who left the UK voluntarily do so through a UK approved refugee company called CHOICES. Through this company, the home office gives each volunteer £2000 each. They have their offices in Nigeria and other African countries too. I know families who's left the UK through this scheme and some get £4000 and above depending on number of children. This prof alexia Thomas one the other hand is a fraud who's duping vulnerable Nigerians who are stranded in the UK £1000 and above for Sham documents. She was caught in 2009 and sentenced to jail for fraud. She's also have a mental history and psychiatrists has diagnosed her to be DELUTUONAL. Please do not be deceived by all this crap she says...she's only saying one side of the story (and the wrong side that is...) and looking for blind followers

Please explain how ride the UK is taking you for?

They are deporting people from their country who have no legal right to be there and this is ALL illegal immigrants irrespective of nationality not just Nigerians.

Interesting how you have just tried to justify the corruption, stealing and wickedness in Nigeria by trying to blame the UK. Typical, it always UK or US fault but never Nigeria.

No matter what type of diplomat you want to get the UK have the right to deport illegal immigrants from their country same as Nigeria has that right as well. Only difference is Nigeria do not enforce their laws.

its high time Britain realize that nigerians living over there are not begging to visit their country, I won't blame them because Nigeria can't stand for theirselves, can u imagine a nigerian visiting the detention centres to tell her fellow nigerian to go back home, the British are seeing Nigeria as a small nation that can't stand firm, South Africa did it during their attacks on us and nothing was done, so we should expect more.. A lot of people do not know this but UK started a scheme a few years ago in which they give every deportee £3000 to encourage them to go back to their various countries easily without fighting or refusing to go home. Now recently a part of the Nigerian government (immigration) seizes every penny given to their citizens being deported.

Personally, I am an advocate of peace, but my studies in the field of International Studies and Diplomacy has shown me that tit for tat Diplomacy works best for Anglo-Nigerian relations.
Enough is enough for Britain!

And regarding the issue of Nigerians visiting compatriots in Detention centres asking them to return home, WHY DO WE HAVE THE HIGH COMMISSIONER THERE?

I think its time we employed trained diplomats to manage our international relations. not political thugs who don't know what they are called to do.
