engrlarex: well as far as am concerned it does not translates to anything what I can denote from here is that the Northern Mentality of Born to rule is playing here, ABU is just producing Northern Politicians but when we talk of Universities producing graduates solving societal problems in Nigeria and the world at large, u cant undermine Obafemi Awolowo University, University of Ibadan and University of Lagos be it in the field of Engineering, Law, medicine and others. even if I done my own research OAU, UI and Unilag r breaking records outside the shore of the country. UI has produced the first and only the Nobel Laureate in Nigeria. OP take a chill d school is only producing polithiefcians in Nigeria only. Bro, you quote wrong. OAU produced the nation first and only nobel laureate. Although he is an alumnus of UI, he won the feat while working in OAU 30 years after graduation from UI. OAU gave him the support he needed for him to attain professional maturity. OAU watered and nutured that seed of greatness after he had left UI. 1 Like |

Y won't dey consider their citizens before considering outsiders? For God's sake these people are behind all other regions in Nigeria educationally, they av to empower their people so as to come close to other regions. Education got to the Northern region more dan 60years after it got to d South and South West. Now who is being illogical here btw u and them? In case u dunno, ABU is one of the most Nationalized University in Nigeria. Every part of Nigeria has at least a student in ABU. I don't think there is any other University in Nigeria that has the mix of Students from different parts of the country lyk ABU do. If u merit admission they'll give you. |
