Buhari might be the biggest thief ever. He might have been distracting Nigerians while accumulating the loot of his life.

Besides such man who rose to presidency on the most corrupt platform ever funded by loots from Amaechi and Tinubu has no moral right to fight corruption. He's even more corrupt than most.
U r a fool.... He'll announce dey hav recovered loots and divert it to his account?...... D finance minister said it's still ongoin n d breakdown has nt been given to her, after all u ppl said Noth was recovered, y r u killing urself over it nw

Totally a misleading headline.

The true headline is,

The Recovery Of Looted Funds Is An Ongoing Process - Mrs Kemi Adeosun (Minister Of Finance).

Addressing journalists in Abuja at the end of the monthly Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) meeting in Abuja on Friday, the Minister of Finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun, when asked how much had been recovered from those who looted the treasury, said President Buhari was yet to provide the ministry with details of how much had been recovered but the recovery process was ongoing.

Unfortunately, people see what they choose to see. They also failed to read the part which stated a significant increase in the allocation to be shared.

You were in such a hurry to condemn Buhari that you, and it seems everyone else on this thread, didn't realize the reason behind the enquiry was the unusually large amount of money Buhari's government had available to share among the arms of government.

In other words, there was too much money in the account compared to the previous revenue allocation meeting, which meant there were other undisclosed sources of revenue (including recovered loot) but the minister was not furnished with the details at the time. What a misleading title.

Reading doesn't bite.

This thread proves that a lot of Nigerians do not read. Despite the dwindling of Nigeria's revenue due to drop in the price of Crude, there is more money in the System.

The Finance Minister also acknowledged that the recovery process is going on, yet most comments missed the facts of the article.

Oya, all those on this thread who can not read, start with Letter A the sound is AH!!!

It seems u don't understand the money shared every month under FAAC
The money shared is the revenue generated in the country for that particular month or period of time under review and each of the revenue has a sub head like crude ac revenue , royalties etc so their is no way money can just enter d account without an entery that's why u have office of the accountant general and u also have a perm second in that Ministry, if u read the write up well u will understand
So the truth is that someone some where is not telling us the truth

Lmao I couldn't believe my eyes going through the thread myself. I kept telling myself there was NO way everyone could have missed the actual facts of the article. But alas....

At a time when our income is at the lowest, we are dishing out the highest allocation to states, yet NL is screaming that there were no recovered or saved funds.

This is a direct indictment of the Nigerian educational system.

The recovered money became an issue at the October 2015 FAAC briefing when the finance minister stated that funds available for disbursement at the end of the meeting was more than the amount shared in the previous month.

Also, the Minister did not deny anything. She stated clearly that it is an ongoing process. She knows about it.

When PMB spoke about loot recovery and minimizing wastage in public spending where did you think the funds would go?

That the source was not immediately known by the new minister does not erase the FACT that the FG now has more money for states than there was previously (by over N80 billion) at a time when oil revenue is at its lowest, and there is no way that amount would find itself in that account if not from recovered funds or other wastage minimization efforts.

This is Nigeria.

That's what am trying to explain u , pressmen will always ask u questions sometimes they need answers if the principal target do not provide answers , this issue arouse cos of PMB s statement that looters have started returning loots without names of looters or amount
Then if u check the monthly revenue if fluctuates cos if the FIRS receieves more remittances and more crude oil is sold it will push up d the revenue but instead of the minister to Highlight the various increases in sub heads she allowed the journalists to call the shots
If she was ready for those questions am sure she would have answered them in a manner that will not raise these controversis

At the end of the FAAC meeting, the Federal, State and Local governments shared a total sum of N473.83 billion for the October 2015 Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) meeting.

This set of allocations to the three tiers of government marked a pleasant departure from the previous months of falling allocations.

The October 2015, FAAC disbursements, the finance minister said, represents an increase of N83.89 billion compared to the N389.93 billion distributed in September.

You guyz are not even smart, how can the finance minister not be aware of entries into an account she is drawing from ? Then what is the use of the TSA ?

More money been shared doesn't automatically mean looted funds were returned.

How can a whole minister not be in the know of the money . I thought they opened TSA. Isn't that money supposed to be there for onward disbursement to 3 tiers of govt. I can now authoritatively tell u ladies n gentlemen that nobody has returned any money. Bubu is just tryn to show d international community that his anti corruption war is paying off.

I concure with what one guy said that Buhari is just in Aso rock to enjoy himsef after many yrs of taking a shot at d presidency and no amount of wailing n screaming will make him change. If the noise becomes too much, he takes d next available flight to anywhere but Nigeria.

And you solemnly believe the N83 billion is returned looted funds. How do you guyz even reason ?

That 83 billion can be money accrued from numerous sources, moreso after the successful implementation of the TSA.

Have you considered the huge penalties MTN and co are facing, REMITA refunded commision e.t.c.

Must we all be zombies just to lap in all what the FG dishes even when they are questionable info.
