Just saw this exhibition. Very interesting.

The Nagô Hunters of the Bantè Kingdom, established in the fourteenth century, form a brotherhood of hunters, placed under the authority of a traditional King. The Kingdom is located in the heart of Benin, in the Bantè forest, the Collines Department. The 27 villages of the Kingdom comprise Chiefs Hunters. At the expense of hunting great game, now abandoned, the Hunters have become the essential players in the conservation of their environment, through defending the Bantè Forest on one hand and through protecting their cultural heritage on the other. Guardians of a rich tradition intimately linked with the forest, the Nagô Hunters notably conserve an exceptional knowledge of treatments based on the use of medicinal plants.

Since the beginning of the 2000's, after 25 years dedicated to Asia, Jean-Dominique Burton travels all over Africa, revealing the wealth of civilisations and the beauty of their heritage. Jean-Dominique Burton's vision of Africa is steadfastly positive.

His African projects have always been supported by the Zinsou Foundation, recently joined by the Fondation George Arthur Forrest.

Yes these are warrior and hunters of Old. They know their forest very well. There is more to Yoruboid people than Ketou, Save, and Port Novo.

There is more to this sport than that, so always follow these suggestions to start paving your way to becoming a successful hunter. A hunter is one who makes use of their skills, knowledge and experience. Find more interesting information about Camping & Hiking - Sports & Outdoors Best-Sellers Reviews here.
