Here's one. It's an old one. In fact it is more reality than myth. It is widely believed in Nigeria and most of the world that if one does does not eat for an extended period of time, one might begin to get hungry. 15 Likes 2 Shares |

There was a Yoruba believe which our parents used to tell us back then, they used to say if Rain is falling and u spread ur hand to collect the water, thunder will strike that person down immediately...later I realised that it's nothing than a pure lie, just to scare us to avoid been catching cold 4 Likes 1 Share |

I know of the miss koi koi myth..... an imaginary lady in high heeled shoes used to scare students in the boarding house to tidy up their rooms.....It says that if you don't clean up your room, miss koi koi will do it for you 3 consecutive times and after the third time, you still refuse to clean and tidy your room, she will come and beat the hell out of you ....ofcourse miss koi koi is an invincible being but the sound of her shoes koikoikoi can be heard..... well I have personally experienced the bush baby crying at night when i was in the boarding house....it was a chilly night,we all jumped into bed and hid under our blankets and no body could talk about it the next day 2 Likes |

even the one that they said that if you go to the market square and bend down and open your legs and look between them , you will see that some people aren't walking on their legs or they are walikg upside down. This was used to tell us that spirits existed in human forms! 3 Likes |

I once saw egbere before with her mat. She was crying, it was when I left the vigil in anger around 2.00am. I was so scared that I regretted walking alone then. |
