JINN is not a myth o... My bunkmate in sec school suffered terribly in the hands of those evil spirits. Of course, she was a Muslim. You'll see her being dragged by invisible force, hitting her against hard surfaces, talking to trees e.t.c until a mallam came to pray for her. 4 Likes |

viickerz:"Sigidi" means effigy in Yoruba language. What you're referring to is "Egbere"; known for its endless, annoying cries before being seen or spotted. When a child cries continuously in Yoruba land, such a child is said to cry like an "Egbere". *Then there is the myth of inviting snakes when you whistle at noon. *Another myth is that of the broom being used on a male child. Belief has it that such a child's joystick would shrink Can't remember most for now though. Damn! An Urhobo guy deeply rooted into the Yoruba culture 6 Likes

There are some villages where you don't kill pythons. I have personally experienced it in my mum's village. I really don't know how it works but big Pythons don't have people and you don't kill them too. Those pythons scared the life out of me when they come close to me without knowing as a kid |

pofolo:Is dat not a terrible lie? And u believ it? It is a shame dat many educatd pipo stil believ such superstitious stories met to deciev unwise nd guillable pipo in d past. One major reason why Africa is d way it is today is too much diabolic beliefs, as educatn has not realy tranformd d mentality, nd life-views or reality of many so-calld educatd Africans. |
