Now folks what I mean by golden era is a point in time in a nation's life when everything is moving well .Indices include vibrant economy, efficient infrastructure, high rate of employment etc. The citizens are happy and at the expiration of that era the people still have nostalgic feelings and longing for such good times . Ever since independence successive governments have vilified and condemned preceding governments as ineffective, corrupt and insensitive to the needs of the people which begs the question as to which period in our life as a nation do you think Nigerians were happiest? For the sake of clarity I will classify our history into five stages. While choosing one you can actually mention any particular regime of your choice within that era. A.1960 - 1966: first civilian government B.1966 - 1979:first military government C.1979 - 1984:second civilian government D.1984 - 1999:second military government E.1999 - 2015:third civilian government |
