Members of a Shiite Muslim sect on Saturday attempted to assassinate Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai, in Zaria, Kaduna State, the Nigerian Army said.

The Army Chief was reportedly on his way to Army graduation at Nigeria Army Depot when he was attacked.

At least 7 people are feared dead from the attack.

The clash involved the convoy of the Chief of Army Staff and the Shiites.

Gunshots were heard as people scampered for safety and fight between El-Zakzaky’s Shiite Group and Army intensified.

The same killers shot and killed many unarmed Biafrans protesting peacefully on the streets... You cheered them on, celebrated and asked for more Biafran blood. Now they have also come for you and I don't expect anybody to complain. Same fate awaits my brothers from the Southwest.

Anybody that celebrated the killing of innocent Biafrans will surely die by the bullets anytime they gather together to march for any reason at all... Even if it's creating awareness for a church programme. The Zoo armed forces will be on ground for their much celebrated 'shooting practice' (according to my Yeriba brothers)

I totally agreed with all you said these people are happy we were killed in Onitsha Aba Ph they celebrated now it is their turn the zoo is falling they may ban us but we are resolute was just helping then to treat theirs as one I would have loved we have our country so we can manufacture weapon they can come and buy from us if they like they should killed all of them wetin concern me
