He should think wisely based on what he wants. Making a positive decision is what matters in his life so that he won't end up regretting his actions. |

If he has around N6m, a year's income as insurance to fall back on if business doesn't succeed, he can quit and enjoy family life more. If not, he should work a bit longer and save up some "insurance" money. If not and money becomes a big issue after quitting, his loving wife now won't be that loving anymore. She would blame him for making the young family suffer. Not being "man enough" to hold on to such a well-paying job. You really don't want that. 1 Like |

Everyone seems not to have seen the part he categorically stated that he is being exposed to many dangers and risk. Everyone is interested in the 500k per month. Pls quit that Job as soon as possible. Our lives are previous. The families u are working ur ash out will move on if anything happens to you. There is nothing satisfactory like doing a job u are safe and happy with 3 Likes |

The only time a man rests is when he is dead, quitting could be an option, but make sure you have established yourself before quitting, #nufsed |

He should resign and not quit. But since the job has dangers he should do a complete health check first and allow the company to foot the bill for any health problems. He already has a business that has room to earn more. The longer he stays away at his job...the more he would be like an uncle to his family. A father needs to be more involved and present with his family. Money over family? ...or family over money? |

A graduate out there is on 40K salary every 30days and is trying to be happy with his status when comparing with his fellow graduates without a job. Here, somebody is not happy at all earning more than 500k every 30days. Lesson: Nothing guarantees happiness in life, not even wealth. Happiness is a choice and can only be found within you |

All the hustling for money in this life is just to be happy, happiness is what matters in everything we do in this life. Being a billionaire without happiness is useless and will leads to sickness and untimely death whether legitimate money or not. Ask all those money ritual big men they wl tell you that happiness is lost in their life andhow they wish the hand of clock wl turn back. @Op tell your friend to resign and find happiness wt his life instead to die in the midst of plenty. Money is good but not entirely the source of happiness. 1 Like |

One great step that leads to a man's success is knowing when to quit. If everyone of us know when to quit some tins in our lives, I bet you, our tomorrow will thank us for it, and nature will say a sweet hello to that new step we hav decided to take. One advice I want to giv him is that, he should put tins togeda b4 embarking on a resignation trip. I c dat he luvs his family so much cos of d feelings he gets wen his children cry while going to wrk. In oda 4 dose children not to suffer tomorrow, pls, invest at least hav an income dats is half ur monthly take-home. Cut down your monthly expenditure. When you have done this tins, you should. In fact, since you now hav a biz dat gives u an income close to 200K, resign. |

WHATS LIFE WITHOUT LOVE AND HAPPINESS, FAMILY THEY SAY COMES FIRST IN ALL THINGS...AM HAPPY HE HAS ATLEAST WORKED AND MADE ENOUGH MONEY TO SET UP SOMETHING FOR HIMSELF...IF HE'S PRAYED FOR GODS DIRECTION AND QUITTING IS THE ANSWER, SO BE IT...200K + ALL THE TIME FOR FAMILY=N1,000,000/MONTH |

This is a dilemna very commonly faced in the UK, and indeed is one that I personally faced few years ago. Here is my carefully considered advice. Most importantly, if he already has a business that is currently making N200k, that's extremely impressive given the fact that he can't be spending very much time on it due to his considerable work commitments. This tells me that if he actually focused on that business, there's no way he won't be making considerably more than N500k per month within a relatively short period of time. His happiness is the most important thing, and no matter how much money you are being paid, misery is never a good thing. Most Nigerians, unfortunately, don't understand the value of life and all the other facets of it that truly bring us joy. The most valuable commodity in life is one's time, which is why Prison is the most commonly used form of punishment in the world - to restrict one's time and freedom. That said, he will certainly have some difficulties in persuading his wife to go along with his plan to quit his job in favour of the business. This is a very common challenge and is one that must be navigated with care. Very few successful business men in the UK or USA today have not at one time or another, faced this challenge. I can speak from experience and say that I once gave up a secure job in London paying me £150,000 per annum, in favour of the uncertainty of starting a new business. Looking back now, it was the best decision I've ever made in my life. So, my advice is this - have a frank and open discussion with your wife, and explain to her how you plan to increase the income of your business from 200k to well over what you currently earn. Be persuasive, and mean every single word of it. Reassure her that you have what it takes to make a real success of the business, and ask her to trust your judgement on it, and continue to give you her unconditional support, because you will certainly need it, especially in the early days. When you have her onside, go ahead and tender your resignation. The very best of luck to you my brother, I'm praying for your massive success. 6 Likes |

nyben4eva:there is nothing as good as doing what you "LOVE" on earth. It promote long life and health! ur freind should continue doing the job so that he"ll be able to save enough money, so that when he falls back to he's besiness their wont be any shortage of cash. He should also continue doing the business indirectly so that when he officially start doing it as an occupation there wont be insufficient knowledge... "FOR KNOWLEDGE IS POWER" |
