Just-In:

The below video is circulating online, and particularly on Facebook by Shiites. the video counters the claim of the earlier video released today purportedly by the Nigerian Army showing Islamic Movement in Nigeria followers blocking the way of the Army Chief. according to this counter-video, there was already an attack staged by the army on the Shiite Hussainiyyah (prayer hall) unprovoked and during broad daylight. based on the purported video, the attack on the Hussainiyyah started before the way was blocked on the COAS, and it did not start at night after the road block clash, which is seen as the primary cause of events, that the army later on escalated to cover the Hussainiyyah and Zakzaky's house in their attack. accordingly, the claim is that the road block was a reaction, and not the instigator or primary cause of the tragic events. the below videos shows soldiers dragging followers of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria and shooting while screams can be heard in the background.

the video is titled:

"The Attack of the Nigerian Army at Hussainiyyah Baqiyatullah before the Coming of the Chief of Army Staff".

Viewer Discretion is Advised!

Although the siege started in the night, it lasted till next day and that's when Zakzaky was shot and arrested, ever pause to ponder why Zakzaky told the iranian who contacted him that soldiers are at his house shooting for the last 11 hours?

there is no sign the soldiers were coming under fire and it was daytime as it appears on the video. and it looks like the initial stage as people were screaming and not "taken out" yet! if what you are insinuating is that the soldiers were coming under fire.

also, leaving it till night before finally storming the Hussainiyyah and the house could have been a strategy for whatever military reason or logic. and Zakzaky went into hide to protect his life until his hiding was uncovered. and the army statement says he was not arrested but taken into "protective custody". if he was arrested, the after 48 hours he ought to have been released or bailed; and his human rights now violated by granting bail. the "protective custody" is an excuse so he could be kept indefinitely.

Zakzaky is shot in the chest and whisked out by the army, fact! I can't tell if he's still alive because both photos of him after the raid showed he's unconscious.

Nevertheless, the above video is a fabrication, because soldiers storm hussainiyyah after the procession incident, another fact.

Zakzaky's statement from the phone call he made shows he is not hiding somewhere else but inside his house and he confesses there's no way he will make it out because soldiers have sorrounded the house already. Another fact pal.

About daytime issue, Zakzaky says soldiers arrived his house by 10pm the previous day and they are still laying siege after 11 hours. 10pm + 11hours is 9am. Is 9am not broad enough for you?

All people need to do is understand what the shia people were saying in the first video to understand the issues were different and had nothing to do with this video.
Listen to both audio for the videos and you would notice the stubbornness this people were exhibiting with no clear reason. Even in the video you hear some asking how many soldiers were killed and that they stay an fight tit tat with the army. Again the people do not seem peaceful.
If truly there was such an issue prior to the COAS visit he would have avoided the visit to Zaria. That is common protocol to prevent any treat to his person. It is obvious from the lack of police presence and the fact the COAS was blocked by this miscreant they did not know of the situation. So to assume such a serious operation was taking place the COAS was not informed until he got into it is clearly not true that the onslaught on there place had occurred before the COAS intended visit to the Emirs palace. which is also close to the place of conflict.

My take is they are also trying to justify there actions of being unruly and stubborn to authorities.

there is no justification for attacks on their prayer center and the house. whether before or after since the events are unrelated.

aside, the audio was recorded in the night around 2 am. it was very late at night. so it can be that the firing started in the afternoon on Saturday before the passing of the COAS. if i may recall the chain of events correctly, Zakzaky was found hiding on Monday.

A few inferences from the videos going around:
1. The Shias were not peaceful. They clearly refused pacifications by the Nigerian army spokesman (who risked his life in approaching them).
2. The Nigerian army DID NOT set out on that day to kill Shias.
3. The video released by the Shia on this post is even exonerating the army. The soldiers can be seen guarding the road in order to let the COAS pass.
4. The attack on the Hussainiya is being investigated by the army.
5. The death of people is very sad and unfortunate. We can only pray for the families grieving
6. It will be very hard to nail the Nigerian army on the cross, with the videos released so far...unfortunately.

Moving forward, Shias should stop blocking roads and constituting a law unto themselves. This entails all religious sects too (including RCCG on Lagos-Ibadan expressway).
Mr Zakzaky should henceforth reign on his followers to respect the Nigerian law. If they are not comfortable with the Nigerian law vis a vis Shia practices, I suggest they should all apply for Iranian visas and citizenship.

The myth of peaceful procession has been quashed by these videos. There is nothing peaceful in people weilding machetes, cutlasses and even clubs.

This is a video by the Nigerian army spox, the same man who was brave enough to first try to talk to the Shia. He was the one painstakingly begging them. He begged them in Allah's name to just let the convoy pass. This is the first hand account

So because they blocked the road, that's why soldiers should open fire should open fire and kill hundreds, how many times was GEJ stoned, it's so unfortunate that people even listen to what Nigerian army says.

The fo.ols that are defending the actions of the shiites will throw a punch at the first minute of provocation without deliberation!

The country is more than tensed with bokoharam onslaught! A group of guys laid seige on the Nigerian army on their way to discharging their duties and they should recieve a pet on their backs?! This are NOT policemen that are meant to carry teargas or Rubber bullets for fxcks sake!!!!

It wasn't just an army convoy the senseless shiites tried to attack o, it was the convoy of the chief of army staff (the highest military authority and a representative of our sovereignty)!! No one supports carnage but objectivity is required!!

Even the USA won't condone this bullsh#t in the face of the recent ISIS threat and San bernardino shooting! The shiites won't even dare it in the remotest of streets there!

I can't deal with this self righteous sicktards!!

No, the soldiers should have waited for the Allahu-akbar shouting nuisances with weapons to kill the COAS first before they shoot! These were sicktards that, if given the chance, would have killed every single soldier there including the COAS. We won't hear people like you say anything then!!

He said the least of the weapons they had was catapult and machetes

Some were taking positions , behind trees and poles , Duck and cover military tactics , some were taking kneeling positions , standard Army shooting positions

He said they had petrol bombs and some had other things hidden

It's not the first time they'll assault dignitaries on that path

The macheted a soldier in the head in that same vicinity

Based on all these things, I think it's common sense for soldiers to assume the worst and open fire

Those Shiit guys are simply terrorists in disguise. They are obviously going out of control and misbehaving perhaps because they feel Iran will run to their rescue whenever they scream.

The Nigerian Army went for a clean sweep before the COAS arrived.
imagine how the Nigerian army were dragging dead bodies and hiding them?
Iran will not forgive this! I am really disappointed. This is a massacre!
The shiites didn't even attack back, they only kept yelling "Allahu-Akbar"
Is Buhari using his advantage as a sunni president to attsck the shiites? because there's no way he didnt know about this.
