Enugu—A coalition of 42 South East and South-South groups, yesterday, met in Enugu State, to finalize plans for the mega rallies to sensitize Nigerians towards “restructuring the country along the lines of true federalism.”

According to the organizers, the rallies earlier planned to hold in 13 cities and towns in the South East, would now hold in 20 cities and towns within the two zones.

Speaking, the convener of the meeting and the founder of Igbo Youth Movement, IYM, Evangelist Elliot Uko said, that the peaceful marches for true federalism had become important since the country had been run as unitary administration, imposed by the military since 1966.

He said: “For 49 years, Nigeria has been boiling consistently, sometimes silently seething with rage inside; sometimes the lava would hot up and the hot coke gushes out like a volcanic eruption.

Will the SE support regionalism?

Will the SE support an "indigene/native clause" in the constitution?

Will SE support TRUE FEDERALISM?

Will SE support land control by region?

Sometimes I laugh at this fools who think others are actually fools as they are.

Imagine miscreants wanting "geographical naturalization" in other peoples' lands but will never agree on the concept of "resource nationalization", wanting "no indigene/native dichotomy" but "oil dichotomy".

Nigerians know who the crazy people are. They pollute
everywhere.

This is what am saying. All this bottled anger and animosity against ourselves, only true federalism can solve that.
Let the monachic north define their kind of government. Nobody shud hold each other down. Daz wasup.

The pathetic people have come out of their shell. grin

They've realise that the biafra protests didn't yield any result, they now want to look for another reason to keep jobless youths in the streets protesting.

I just pity for the souls that were senselessly lost thinking the struggle was all about biafra. It's all about the politicians.

@bold is this confusion or what? Was it not the ibos that imposed unitary system on Nigerians after scuttling our robust regional government?

Now they are crying for us to go back after realising their errors. Too late cos the food is not yet finished in the plate.

Are the ibos tired of clamouring for biafra that they are now calling for regionalism? Do they even know what they want? They didn't clamour for any of the above during GEJ's administration where they held juicy posts which they used in destroying the man and Nigeria. Now that they, by themselves, have been schemed off things, they now remember biafra. The clamour for biafra has failed, they now want regionalism now that other regions have been exposed to the beauty of what they opened their eyes to. grin

Cunny man die...cunny man bury am! grin
