Senatorial candidate of defunct Action Congress AC in the southern senatorial district of Ondo state and running mate to the governorship candidate of Action Congress of Nigeria ACN in the 2012 governorship election in Ondo state Otunba (Dr.) Paul Akintelure has signified to contest for the governorship election in Ondo state under the platform of All Progressive Congress APC, he make it known to his followers at the house of former chairman of Okitipupa local government Hon. Igbekele Akinrinwa. Dr. Akintelure is the former BOT chairman of AIT and was the chairman APC screening committee for 2015 primary election in Benue state. He is a medical doctor by profession also a business man, he is the CMD Broad hospital and CEO Broad hotel, both in Lagos state and Broad ranch LTD, Igbotako, Ondo state. In his declaration speech Akintelure he will focus his administration on affordable health care, good road network, Education, Agriculture to boost the IGR of the state and reduce the unemployment rate of the youth.

Akintelure also pledged to revive all the moribund industries including Oluwa glass industry, Okitipupa Oil Company, Tomato paste company, ceramic company and turn Idanre hill to international tourist center, also to establish Ondo State mega city development board to carter for the rapid development of the major cities in the state

In education he promise to upgrade all our tertiary institution to international standard also rehabilitate all the dilapidated primary and secondary schools across the state, he said the health of the people is very important, his government will renovate and build primary health center across the 203 ward in the state. Meanwhile the official declaration of his aspiration is coming up on 28th of April 2016 which will kick start from his country home Igbotako in Okitipupa local government of Ondo state.
