And our presidency is budgeting few billion Naira to purchase imported BMW cars.

A few billion Naira that should be ploughed back into our local manufacturing economy at time that our oil dollar revenues have been decimated.

Someone should just help me explain how this helps to encourage local content and create job opportunities for the unemployed?
Afterall, in Germany where these BMW cars originate from, they have an automobile industry. Nigeria has one.
Buying these innoson vehicles would help create employment opportunities, promote the value of naira vis-a-vis local content. I know the cost of a brand new BMW car is quadruple (4 times) the cost of a brand new innoson car.
Or am I the only one seeing it like this[/size]? angry

We have to revert to true federalism, im so disappointed that buhari wasn't asked questions about federalism.

Good made in Nigeria products. But banks and multinationals needs to encourage the company by buying from them instead of buying the imported one. No matter what the quality could be now, there's a room for an improvement.

Believe it or not,Nigeria is better off as one indivisible nation.Imagine the Igbos with sleek tecnological advancement,the Yorubas as financial and media experts and the North performing wonders in agriculture.What else do we need to improve as a nation?Nothing!Oil is nothing but a curse to Nigeria,that's why we Niger Deltans are so lazy.Our only contribution is oil which is a natural resources,no wonder Nigerians see us as minorities.

Did Buhari not reverse the auto police? Do you think Obiano would have bought as many as he bought if the tariff on foreign assembled vehicles was as was proposed in the policy? The high tariff was to make people look inward.

He reversed the policy, did he not? He did it to pay US back for supporting his election while our own economy suffer. So we ramin dependent and beggers.

Stop yapping rubbish...obiaono recently purchased more than 100 dump trucks and buses from innoson this year alone.....all the free shuttle buses used by anambra civil servants are all innoson products same with the dump trucks.......innoson has a bug problem with meeting demands.....the company is yet to meet demands of 85 sedan cars for taxi services...an order placed by the state govt since July this year....

For ur info many eastern states are patronising innoson...the company is focusing on export sef....gis cars are hot cakes in Togo and so many African countries.

Are there any showrooms where citizens and residents can purchase these cars? I only see these cars in the news, I haven't seen any nairalander displaying their new IVM car.
