When they are dancing, which song do they mime to? Is it a Godly song or a worldly one?

The dance crew, are they the church workers or just random youths?

Back in the days, i belong to a dance crew that all we do was drama and mime(Godly song) to the crowds. I can remember we do fast and pray before we go on the alter and we don't do dance at shows.

Quite disagree with your last thoughts on mfm. I see their dance ministration & it's not only entertaining but glorifies Jesus. If you watched their performance on watch-night 2015, you would have noticed the concept of using Pastor's messages to dance and bless life.

I for one find it as a source of inspiration, anytime I see different sizes of youths praise & glorify God.

It is creative & always with a message about the power of Christ.

Not right.... Imagine Paul, John and Peter dancing breaking dance in front of the saints.... What talent are you talking about... If you want that, we have many hip hop, R&B singers that can accomplish that. Shame on the church of this generation if they can't offer another thing that differs from what the world offers... When these so called self-righteous Christians differentiate between Religion and Christianity they will begin to fulfil the call of God upon their lives. Even if someone dances shoki in church to glorify God, how has that made God less God? How can that even be considered sin? What is sin? Transgression of the Law, what Law? The Law of Moses.

You guys need to study Romans very well to understand the concept of sin, so you will begin to enjoy your christainity without being so sin conscious. For I bear you record that you have a zeal for God but not according to knowledge.

I see all these people commenting and supporting brake dance here and i shake my head in disbelief. They can dance all the shoki, alanta, shakitibobo, alingo, azonto and all but ask them what they learned from church today? ZERO. I don't blame u all, i blame the pastors who spend 95% of ur time asking u to sing and dance. Its pure business, pastors will do anything to bring people into their churches.

One question: If someone has the talent to dance amd break dancing is one of them, how should he use this talent?

The bible didn't state how we should dance to praise God.

My problem is the places or people who originated these dance that we copy.

And one way to see it is a culture thing. We all have different ways we dance in our different cultures.

I want to believe the Hip pop dance or break dance is an African American thing.

So if its a cultural thing, is it then wrong to dance that way in the church?

David could have been break dancing which made his clothes fall off, the bible didn't describe the dance. But for his clothes to have fallen off, I can imagine the kind of dance he was giving to God. And God loved it.

Then possibly you know the origin where David picked is dancing steps from to praise God. Christianity is from the mind after all bible say "not all who call me lord, would enter into the kingdom"
Dancing is good, but not all dance came be accepted by God. It doesn't mean break dance is bad if done rightly.
Churches should only sensitise their congregation of accepted conduct in their dance that's all. Or haven't you gone to churches where women shake their behinds to the total confusion of men?

it is quite regrettable that you try meddling with matters way above your understanding. I'm certain your elders never told you;when you point with your finger the other fingers point back at you. make points and do not accuse certain sects. as for the dancing it doesn't matter at all how you dance but the state of your heart while you are dancing. God is only interested with your heart I.e why you are doing it.

pls who can tell us the kind of dance step David did that got his wife angry?... Not acceptable by the wife or men ,yet God made him a man after his heart, pls concentrate more on doing what you know that pleases God and dont forget that if your heart doesnt prick your then you're not condemned

What some of our ladies do in the church in the name of dancing is actually unacceptable and a sin, which must be stopped by the church elders. Shaking their bum uncontrollably for men in the church to watch can't be a joyful dance to the Lord.

They simply cause others to commit sin. When a soul is lost as result of your action, you better prepare your response as to what happened when the creator call.

A dance not meant to entice and advertise oneself but to honor the Lord is welcome in the church.
