I wonder when the Nigeria Government and military will relinquish its pride and of start utilizing the igbos technological prowess.
There is no pride ohhh, they are being utilized greatly .....And the Igbos in the army are doing wonderfully well in research, development technology and maintenance.

That's the Igirigi.

What we now know as the Igirigi, is designed by engineers of the Nigerian army and Streit group Nigeria built on a Ford F-150 chassis. The final product is a J.V, however it's the intellectual property of Nigeria.

Every export of the Igirigi by Streit Nigeria has to receive the blessing of the Nigerian army.

There's no need to be confused.

lalasticlala let them no we are now selling arms

Thats the initiative of Gen Ihejirika (an Igboman) approved by GEJ

Igirigi is an Igbo word for falling dew.

The same man accused by APC and Northern leaders of committing genocide and replaced by GEJ under presssure when he was on the verge of wiping out Boko Haram.

If only Nigeria will combine the technological ingenuity of the Igbos and the software brilliance of Yoruba the country can become potential exporters of finished goods. But tribalism seems to be choking us all.
true talk. when it comes to technological innovation, manufacturing n commerce, d South East has it all. We have d know how, we have d brains. If not for bad belle, tribalism n bigotry of d zoo n dis feeding bottle govt structure, d South East region would have been like Japan today.
dis current zoo structure is really dragging us backwards.

It is with the help of mostly yoruba soldiers in the army that igirigi was built.Yemoja,Olokun etc ships, were they built by yorubas only?.Ihejirika used his influence with the help of Jonathan to give that name. The tribe that builds armored cars, planes,APCs,helicopters etc is yoruba...

Which past government? Was there any thing good about GEJ? God will vindicate that blessed man. He was weak and imperfect like every mortal, but he had a better plan for naija more than all the vagabonds before and after him.

I hope we don't regret sending the "clueless one" back to Otuoke sooner than later. GEJ is a great patriot. Wish he had some balls.

Abeg, is there anything this present govt has done differently, except harassing their perceived enemies?

The conceptualizer was a former Chief of Army Staff of Igbo descent called General Ihejirika who was inspired by what he saw the former Biafran rebels produce during the Nigerian civil war in the late sixties.
but does it mean that only igbos supplyed the blueprint, funding, and the production for this product. Is it not done by the current Nigerian army then why labeling it only an igbo product when it is the product of Nigeria.

Nobody wants to know if these cars where actually built or mare assembled in Nigeria, instead different ethnic groups are here dragging the glory. The story sounds too good to be true. Its probably another Maurice iwu like breakthrough claim, ''curing Ebola with kola nut''

As if this bullshit would cross Libyan border when Gaddafi was alive. A lot of this Igirigi crap has been destroyed and even more has been seized by Boko Haram. This is a child's play to the likes of Al-Nusra and ISIS that are running the streets of Libya.
