The immediate past senator representing Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District, Aloysius Etok, on Friday dumped the PDP for the APC.
Etok announced his defection in Uyo during the thanksgiving service and reception organised for the APC governorship candidate in the state, Mr. Umana Umana.
The former senator who defected with other PDP stalwarts in the state declared that they were tired of the PDP impunity in the state.
The APC National Vice-Chairman, South-South, Mr. Hillard Etta, who received Etok and his supporters, said the party would accord them all the rights and privileges as loyal party members.
Umana, in his remarks, said the victories at both the tribunal and appeal court were not for him as a person, but the people of the state.
Those who defected with Etok include Chief Otu Ita-Toyo, Mr. Eseme Eyibo, Mr. Ekpe James and Dr. Ita Udosen, among others.

when he was senator, there was no impunity o....all these politicians are 'conscienceless' o...at least we are seeing those that are loyal to their party and the ones after their own stomach

Can't these people just stay in one place?

Since the law precludes political parties from rejecting new members, all APC can do is to give them the cold shoulder from inside!!!

This is a man that was always sleeping at the Senate Chambers through his tenure as Senator representing Akwa Ibom North East. His impact was not seen throughout his 4 year-tenure. He was unable to attract meaningful project to his ward not to talk of the state. His grievance is that His Excellency Chief Dr Godswill Akpabio was freely nominated by his party (the PDP) to represent them since they did not benefit from Senator Aloysius representation.
