Am just thinking to myself, what if Jonathan had won the won the 2015 presidential election? Yes! Yes we may not have seen $1 going for over N300. We may not have witnessed any disregard of court orders? Yes we may not have heard abt a missing national budget. Construction of second Niger bridge would have been going on unhindered. Yes we may not have heard abt any 95% to 5% votes nonsense. Yes we may not heard about the Shiites clash with the military. Yes we may not have noticed that there is no igbo among the the president early appointments, and so on. But then I begin to wonder: Would there have been a renewed biafra agitation? How would Jona had handled this our new $30 per barrel economy, with his teammates stealing and sharing public funds with reckless abandon? Would we have seen more progress in the anti-terrorism war? Would Nigeria had known about any missing $2 billion dollars from the office of the NSA? Would we have seen NNPC release its monthly sales report, which is the first of its kind? Would Nigeria had fared better in such trying times under Jonathan? Just thinking out loud... |
