Arms Deal: Ex-service Chiefs Under House Arrest? by lamzybaby: 5:54am On Jan 18, 2016
Indications emerged, weekend, that some of the 18 ex-service chiefs being investigated over the $2.1billion arms procurement deal, may have been placed under house arrest. President Buhari had on Friday directed the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, FCC to carry out full investigations into the alleged misconduct established against some retired and serving officers of the Nigerian Air Force and Nigerian Army over the deal that frustrated the war against the Boko Haram insurgency in the North Central. Those affected in the order include embattled former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd.); former Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh (retd.); and two former Chiefs of Air Staff, Air Marshal MD Umar (retd.) and Air Marshal Adesola Amosun (retd.)

Yes we are. What do you think we should do about corruption? Ignore it like it doesn't exist? At least, your hero hasn't been invited to say his side of the story about $2.1B.

it is better making a slow progress like this rather than making a rapid progress on things (like corruption) that will eventually ruin the Nation.

Cancerous cells are rapid growing cells but kill eventually.

If we don't reduce corruption, corruption will reduce us.

This ain't don Fortunato in power, the man who promised to fight corruption with technology which would be operated by the same corrupt officials. Can't remember any top official who got tried or invited by Efcc for the whole 6 years don Fortunato spent in Aso Rock instead he facilitated the release of criminals. Imagine the dude that returned 100M after his invite by Efcc, would that have happened during the reign of don Fortunato Well maybe in our dreams.

Since this dudes are military officials they should be tried in a military court that's faster than this corrupted judiciary

This democracy dey tire me abeg.
How i wish we were in military regime, all these cases will have been decided since. Under three days those found wanting will be cooling their heels in kirikiri, properties sold and cash recoup to fund our budget.
Buhari should buckle up!

Yes we are laying a solid foundation upon which sustainable progress can be built. The message is being sent to those holding public offices in trust that there would be dire consequences if they abuse their offices corruptly enriching themselves.

That way, monies appropriated as public expenditures would be expended on the purposes for which they are meant and this would translate into measurable progress for you, your children, and myself can enjoy.
