ride the bicycle, gat one elemu bicycle back then, though my leg was short to reach the pedal still he will push me while I steered the bike, mehn I miss this nigga, how I used to learn our village lang. from him, only to receive a call that you were gone. Ah iku doro. If only I was there to smile at you while on the sickbed, you might have had the strength to fight death. It's so painful why the hell wasn't I there for close to two months when you were sick, why the hell did you have to die. You made me lose my fear for death, awaiting the day I'll face death hmmmm anybody can die die, just anybody.

We are all but leaves on a tree, we are bound to wither and fall someday, never to rise again.

Dad died first, his was painful. Mum died in 2014, hers was more painful.

But nowhere compared to the pains I felt for a friends wife.

She happens to be my wife's best friend. She got married on the 4th April 2015 to a colleague and friend. Died with pregnancy on the 8th of January 2016.

She was also a final year student of English and literary studies, university of calabar.

She was close to my home, we were very fund of her, my wife still sees her in her dreams, and we still sob each time we remember her.

My grandmother. Her memory is still alive in me. I don't think I will ever recover from her loss.
I also have regrets. I wish I should have taken her to live with me abroad. I hope she forgives me on this.
I'm naming my child after her, hopefully I reunite with her someday.
