Dr Ngozi Iweala Warned Nigeria About Saving, but Was Ignored! by investnow2013: 4:27pm On Jan 23, 2016
"During Dr Goodluck Jonathan's administration, oil price was around $100 per barrel, former finance minister Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala adviced the federal and state governments to save money for the rainy day. She warned that there will be economic crunch like it's happening now, she saw this coming.

APC and her governors dragged her and Jonathan's government to court, the court judgement went in APC's favour because the constitution does not give room for such savings. Government shared the money with state governments after APC and her lying machinery and press told the gullible ones that Jonathan wanted to save money for election campaign. Governors squandered the funds, only a few like Senator Godswill Akpabio, Peter Obi et al saved.

Today Nigeria's economy is bad and tumbling down, nobody recalls that Okonjo-Iweala warned us ahead of time. The gullible ones of the broom persuasion are busy calling the best finance minister Nigeria ever had unpleasant names while the world is recognising her sterling leadership qualities after she shot Nigeria's economy to the top of the African continent for the first time.

Our economy is going down, down in eight months as everything has turned out so bad. Buhari told the world that he will stabilize oil price globally, he should keep to his promise and stabilize it as a barrel of oil crashed to $27. With this downward change, is this how $1 is going to equal N1? As it is N300 to a US Dollar today." - Saviola Godwyn

You people just copy up and down without sense.
If you can remember the FG was withdrawing from the account illegally that promoted Amaechi and Co to call for the sharing.

This is the most idiotic nonsense ever. The finance minister and economic coordinator in charge of our money and savings advised us to save, who exactly was in charge of all that.?

Or the crooked, incompetent, overfed and over bloated woman just was too dumb to yield to her own advise since she was in charge?

The same woman forgot about her silly and disingenous savings advice when was illegally approving our money for looting and charing left and right to her crooked and corrupt cronies?

Wonders shall never end...

And you think what he said was true? Nigerian politicians that are well known for propaganda!

Can you recall when Oshomole traveled with President, came back and told us they were informed by American Authority that a Minister with the previous administration kept $ 6b in U.S which American Authority refuted?

Liar! Odili and Akpabio were not governors at the same period. The former was governor between 1999 to 2007 while the latter was governor between 2007 to 2015. How could they have heeded to the advice of Okonjo-Iweala?

Modified:

The OP edited his post, removing Odili and replacing it with Obi.

She tried to save, but her adversaries were determined to frustrate her effort by taking F.G to court. This was the same system they used to frustrate her advice to remove subsidy in 2012

This shameless lie is stale. Prof soludo asked the witch Ngozi these questions as regards the above. She never answered. She went dumb till date.

I hereby challenge your attempt to blame others for not saving for the rainy day. It is not a virtue when you are quick to appropriate all the credit when things are going well, but shift the blame when they go wrong. You blame the state governors— who, according to you, have taken the Federal Government to the Supreme Court—not that a Supreme Court judgment forced your hands. For your information, the governors have never agreed to savings and always threatened court action even under Obasanjo. Why did we save under Obasanjo but not under Jonathan? Two keywords explain it: leadership and integrity. Governor Amaechi said the governors insisted on sharing the funds because they found out that you were illegally fiddling with the savings. So, as Nigerians still wonder, if billions of dollars are now ‘missing’ under your nose, why should governors trust you to keep their money? Do the states that have taken the federal government to the Supreme Court and refused to save also include the PDP governors—who are in the majority? If so, then it is fatal: even governors of your own party, PDP, do not trust you to keep their money! Furthermore, did the governors also stop the Federal Government from saving part of its share? If you ran a surplus budget at the Federal level, you would have had credibility to blame others or to say they did not listen to your advice. The key point is that since you were running huge deficits yourself, it was also in your own interest to share the ECA. You did not show leadership or credibility, full stop!

Ngozi the witch is a fraud. She never intended to save. Even after sharing, at least 52% of the money shared will go to FG. What stopped her from saving that? Was there anybody in court stopping FG from saving his money? Soludo has said it all. It was in the best interest of both Jonah-daft and Ngozi to share the money afterall they got the largest pie. Amaechi they are crucifying for it didn't even get up to 1%. Even before sharing, they were busy poking their noses into the account doing whatever they deemed fit with it which prompted Amaechi and co to raise alarm.
Even pdp governors never trusted the Witch with their money. It was that bad.
