The consequence of wailing is wailing. If you think CHANGE is hard, try Wailing.

APC and bubu haven't been lead us up to a year, yet we have started crying foul.....come 2019....we all will vote against him with tears and regret... but the fact still remains that he won't want to step down peacefully...... he's so hungry for power, yet he does nothing meaningful in that position..
pls Nigerian's, let's keep sentiment's aside- What has bihari or any APC governor done that has effected us the citizens positively??
only to witch hunt....

There is only one thing that is contained in wailers' handout and that is: wail, wail & wail. Inveterate wailers wail me a river, i would want to have a swim.
The truth has spoken!
It's unfortunate this is all you have to say about the impunity being wrought in the polity. The article highlighted the grave abuse of laid down rules which portends danger and all you could come up with is this thrash. It's really unfortunate.

By 2019....

Nigeria would have been finished economically

There will be no opposition to check the actions of the Buhari govt.

Elections will be mere formalities as all electoral structures must have succumbed to the dictates of the desperate APC govt.

Nigerian masses can wail all they like and that would amount to nothing

Let it be known that following the precedence set by Buhari on the opposition, APC will never allow their defeat through the ballot. They'll rather die to retain power than hand over to an opposition that would persecute them same way Buhari is currently doing to PDP.

By then, we would have successfully and tactically ended democracy as we know it.

Arrant stupidity, why would the president ask the REC of INEC in Kogi state to resign when the issue of the next governor of the state has not been resolved. Bringing a new individual in who does not know the genesis of the matter in would only confuse things and open up an avenue for the different factions to exploit.

There are many serious issues on ground right now and this is not one of them.

Hello! Government and governance is ad continum otherwise no President/Governor should hand over when there are incomplete projects. DGs, heads of parastatals, security chiefs et al should not be changed because there are pending issues yet to be resolved or handled.

This is a constitutional requirement, they are not meant to be followed at one's convenience. Are u saying if the REC is removed as his tenure has elapsed then they would have to conduct Kogi elections afresh so the new REC would 'know the genesis' of issues?
What if, God forbid, his death is announced tomorrow will that position remain vacant because only he was there from the genesis?

Make una dey talk true, this is beyond political affiliation.

Those who think it will be easy to remove these set of people by ballot box, should be reasoning like Arsene
leave Dem,let them keep fooling themselves. By 2019,there will be only one presidential choice and that will be buhari choice. Anyone still looking at his voters card now as a valuable treasure better realise that the voters card used in voting out gej has outlived its usefulness .

Observers of the electoral arena find such constitutional breaches deeply disturbing because under a very contested political atmosphere, constitutional breaches are grave impeachable offences and can be destabilizing for political development.

The current government has been plagued by several constitutional missteps.

Not just unconstitutional electoral errors, judicial prejudice and lack of economic competence. I still can't get over the budget issue. Swapping documents without due process. Thank God party supremacy didn't prevail in the Senate else, it would have been wash all the way. Just imaging the illegality es that would have been pepertrated without Nigerians noticing.....

Smh for Nigeria...

All your idealistic explanation has done a great job of excluding the Nigerian reality.

I don't know why all who argue otherwise fail to realise that if a suitable replacement has not been found, the alternative is a crudely selected compromise.

Given the situation with the Kogi election and as it concerns the Faleke court case , taking your time to place an appropriate person in that office is best.

Out problems are many and ideally the selection of INEC officials etc should be delegated to a commitee with stake holders from across the board, Executive arm of government, 2 senators, 2 Reps, 1 trustee elected from the judicial benchv, 1 member from the Labour congress.

The president would have the final duty of approval.

Una President is a big shame to Rule of Law.

Anything goes so far it suits him..

The word " Independent " should be removed from INEC
