Re: HiTV Subscribers Question And Answer Forum by Latekris: 3:28pm On Aug 17, 2010 |
Urfriend welcome back, nice performance by your boss. But we have all seen enough corporate scandal AND COVER UP to know he was lying about every thing. 10 more channels he says. Going by Hi media's track record when adding channels, we expect some of the current ones to go and we expect the new ones to be garbage. Will the new channels show Miami vice, Hawaii five-0, or Magnum P.I, how about Macgyver. You guys have all that rejected EPL money lying around, try bring some quality eh! Three thousand five hundred (3500), LMAO, guess it's a joke just like Hi media. LMFAO A foreign Company is punking y'all at your own back yard. But coming to think about it ya'll punked yourselves ha ha! |

Re: HiTV Subscribers Question And Answer Forum by agitator: 8:15am On Aug 18, 2010 |
temmytanny: This can only come from a slowpoke. so what if he has done heaven and earth for HiTV? Is it not his personal business, which he was running the way he felt like, not what the customers wanted? Nigerians with their foolish pride and ego the thing don tire me. People suggested HiTV should merge with DAARSAT who had more quality programs but no sports. Due to everybody wants to be oga they refused. Imagine stronger TV providers Orbit merging with Showtime just to remain in business. This same scenario reared it's ugly head during the banking consolidation era, some one owner banks were giving ridiculous conditions on merging with stronger banks, just because the owner wants to be at the helm of affairs at the end of the day they lost out. It's too common in nigeria DAARSAT was being run by Raymond as a one man show after selling shares to the public. Some of these peeps don't even know what business is all about. In their reasoning, since they have money just look for a lucrative business and invest. Even people who have money and manufacture products still rely on the public to invest which is a better way of raising capital than collecting loans. Loans is for short term capital needs, when companies want to expand they sell more shares, because with shares you don't bother about interest payments even-though shareholders receive returns on their investment it's not like loan where you have to service the loan interest at the appointed time, whether you make a profit or not. |
Re: HiTV Subscribers Question And Answer Forum by temmytanny(m): 8:28am On Aug 18, 2010 |
@ agitator A slowpoke LIKE YOU? U just write wit no sense. Moreover, my reply wasnt towards you so why giraffing. Can u tell DANGOTE TO Merge with ZENON? or TELL NTA to merge with AIT? Even if they merge, are we not goin back to the monopolistic ERA? Mr slowpoke,Must everything in this world be merged? Mr .slowpoke,Who told you Toyin owns HITV? |
Re: HiTV Subscribers Question And Answer Forum by solo1ng1: 9:14am On Aug 18, 2010 |
@temmytanny, You’re the biggest slowpoke…even urfriend will never talk the way you’re doing. Have you ever paid for Hitv subscription b4? For how many months? Do u know what is called customer service & customer satisfaction? Go and study what is called marketing concept…then you will know if agitator and other posers are right or wrong… Customer satisfaction is the key to all business success…that’s why dstv still command the paytv market even with the high subscription fee…the contents are rich enough…b4 hitv came in with their unplanned biz idea…with N9.5k on dstv, u get, champ leag, epl, laliga, serie a, bundlega, fa cup, carling cup, club friendlies, wcup, nations cup, all qualifiers, almost all friendlies, boxing, Olympic, athletics, golf, tennis Nigerian leag, SA leag, Kenya leag, international class sport review/update just on sport platform, mnet, tcm, afmagic- Yoruba, hausa, English, sony, set, E!, cnn, bbc, skyn, euronews, etc for N9.5k? Then hitv came in…for just epl, champ leag, carling cup…aljazeranews, hinolly—repitition, himix—rubbish, what else? Nothing for whopping N6.5k? this is milking at the highest order. Go and check the channels when they started and what they have now, almost same after how many yr? What they do is substitution; they never add new channels, o maybe koko mansion… Tell them to go back to the drawingboard and restrategy again…and also try to reduce the 3.5fee to 2.5k…’cos I will not pay that amount for such content, champ league is once in three wks not weekly or daily…so what do they expect me to watch b4 the next match? Hinolly? Never… WAKE UP!!!! |
Re: HiTV Subscribers Question And Answer Forum by agitator: 9:30am On Aug 18, 2010 |
@ temmytanny Wise man keep on dreaming. It's not a sin or against any law to dream. You customers tell you what they want you tell them what they should have because they are poor/paupers and are not in a position to decide what is good. It is either they take it or leave it. And when they decide to leave you come back and start preaching "Proudly Nigeria". @ solo1ng1 Don't bother yourself in replying to such people because they never learn. Always on a high pedestal because they feel rich and on top of the world. Seeing every other person as a pauper and yet they are interested in the paupers money. |

Re: HiTV Subscribers Question And Answer Forum by OYIBN: 12:12pm On Aug 18, 2010 |
@urfriend The cookies have crumbled. What is left is not worth rebranding. Better merge with DSTV. No EPL, no HITV. Last year we were discussing this faulty model of HITV in this forum. I was insulted. Instead of sharing the EPL with DSTV, HITV refused. Bidding for $115m just to outbid DSTV. Is this model reasonable? In South Africa, DSTV only pays $35m for EPL. DSTV I am sure is thinking ahead. I am sure they will come with another bouquet that caters for football addicts. Then HITV would be finally buried since they would have snatched almost all HITV's subscibers. This should be a lesson for other upcoming local entrepeneurs. |
