No Fuel In Anambra State. All Filling Stations On Strike -


It was a suprise to motorists and also petrol consumers today the Tuesday 26th day of January as Anambra state people woke up to find out that No Fuel Station
is dispensing fuel. Uppeh.com correspondent who reported this visited Juhel, Ap, Conoil Fuels Stations in Awka and also Fuel stations on Onitsha and Nnewi but non of them was open for business.

One of the Filling Station Staff in Nnewi who spoke on condition of anonymity said they were told to come to workowners but they shouldn't sell fuel.

We are yet to discover the reason for their strike action but we are sure its unconnected to DPR regulation of their pump price sales.

A regular buyer of Fuel in Onitsha by name Ahamefula told our correspondent that The state government increased Fuel Station taxes by 50% hence the resolve for them to embark on this strike action to pressure the government and make them go back on their decision.
