The Customary Government of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has announced its plans to resettle traders of Igbo extraction whose shops were demolished by Lagos State Government at Oshodi Market, Lagos.
IPOB statement made available to NewsDay informed that it was mobilising resources from Ndigbo residents abroad to assist resettle the victimised traders. IPOB announced that Ndigbo in Diaspora have indicated interest to contribute to the relief fund to assist the traders out of their predicament.

The statement was signed by the Administrator of IPOB, Engr Aniebue Anthony.

The statement added that calls had started coming from all over the world in that regards, both to assist the hapless traders while other calls were in commendation of the thoughtfulness of IPOB and of support for the activities of the customary government of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB).

The statement read: “We wish to inform our numerous concerned indigenous people that due to our traditional compassion to the plight of our fellow Biafrans, our people have started responding positively to our request to come forward to donate land to resettle our people whose shops were demolished at Oshodi market.

‘’For some obvious official reasons, we are not going to disclose the communities that have come forward with offers of land, but be rest assured that once the processes have gone unstopped to a reasonable extent, we shall immediately release the details of the land donors to our listening public.

But Yorubas were affected too na. Why are u so bitter about the news? Pls don't spoil market for Yorubas among them with your tribalist comment before they're excluded from this relief gesture

Oh well, OPC can as well mobilize too to resettle the Yorubas that were affected.

Now this is beyond laughable, cheesy cheesy cheesy

Resettle them where?... Why is the location shrouded in mystery? cheesy cheesy,

Thought NL IPOB warriors claimed it is a welcome development that'd force them back to the east...

Hopefully, this will not be a repeat of the biafran passport saga... The Igbos in Diaspora are just allowing some people without noble intention fleece them..

I wonder what is stopping these so called kanu 's supporters from resettling the Oshodi traders of igbo extraction in their own homeland-biafra? At least, that way there won't be the alleged discrimination charges in a region where their "enemies", resides.

Why are some people bad mouthing this effort, IPOB that I know cater for families and sends kids of their members to school, if the family can't afford it.

There was plan to share all school teachers in Anambra and beyond free laptops, before it was put on hold during Director's Asia tour.

10% of what IPOB does is not broadcasted outside.

They also take care of their dead members' families every single month. Leave IPOB and face your problems

Why then are they wailing and lamenting like sad mo.fos when their 4x4 shops are dismantled in the " land of witchcraft & cowardice"?

Oh well, let's hope they are resettled in their own region.

you can deny every other ethnic group entrance to lagos,sw or any part of the country but not an igboman/akwa ibomite because they wanted out in 1967,you pleaded with the britains and russians to re-integrate them.

And that's is the sad reality as no other ethnic group in the country is denied entrance in yorubaland except of course, the greedy and covetous tribe, hell-bent on dominating others in their ancestral land.
