Is that surprising? Judging from recent performance, Kaka has been injury-plagued and Gerrard has been the better player over the past 2 years both domestically and in Europe. A comparison between goals scored and assists should suffice. If Gerrard was Brazilian, he would have won the Fifa Player of the Year by now and Lampard would have been close too. By the way, I'm a keen admirer of Kaka; one of my favourite players.

Anyway, Gerrard and Lampard stand just above the rest. I will only rate Kaka equally becos of his past performances, recently he has been a shadow of his former self.

Xavi is great player no doubt, great techinical ability(but Iniesta beats him completely in that area), nice passer(only shot range passes) and he is also just a good free kick taker and that is all! We should have seen more of Iniesta if only Rijkaard wasn't fond of puting him down. Rijkaard just didnt believe in Iniesta.


Gerrard and Lampard possess almost everything the rest possess and it is their strong will , the extra fire they show that puts them just above the rest.

I'd rather have these two in my team, guys that are very difficult to play against ,maybe its the English grit.

i respect their commitment but thats not only what football is about, u talk as if technical ability could never overcome commitment n grit and as if players with massive technical ability dont overwork as hard as possble
there's no need to place one over the other. . . even if so xavi n iniesta have won more than lampard and gerrard

Xavi 9.0(Between him and Iniesta, i dunno who the best is on current form).

Lampard 8.5(A complete midfielder who rarely misses matches a la Cristiano).

Kaka 8.0(injury ravaged but a very solid player)

Gerrard 7.0(Liability in the midfield/injury-ravaged/lack of positional discipline)
