My name is Sylvester,Am 21 years old,
I noticed recently am always too self conscious,I avoid Social gatherings Because all I do is point out how am lacking in some ways when I compare myself to others,Not that I am jealous or something I just always tell my self tat I can Do better,I Can't afford to be were I am ....I hardly engage in conversations with people,.I'd rather Watch movies or read books than go on outings...Things People say out of joke hurt me a lot..Sometimes I go home and it keeps Resounding in my head...
I read somewhere tat there are some pills tat help alleviate depression,But I dnt like the Idea of having to take pills to feel normal,And I Don't think I'll be comfortable seeing a shrink because I also dnt Like the Idea of someone talking to me like am a psycho....
Is there Anyother Way of Curing Depression Or is what am Dealing with not depression?please tell me

In my view I don't think you are depressed

You sound more like an acute Introvert than someone who is depressed. for the avoidance of doubt see a shrink. ur discomfort with the idea should not be allowed to overcome ur need for assistance.

Oh...I dnt knw if I should be Relieved or worried....

A shrink is what you need . U need something called cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) and pls pls don't self medicate most depression drugs can futher mess u up if their use is not properly supervised
