Our Client is looking for a Network Administrator to assist in the maintenance and support of their network infrastructure.

The Candidate will be responsible for all our client’s network planning, administration and operations activities. The Candidate will also perform a variety of complex professional and technical duties related to the installation and maintenance of the her network and communications hardware and software systems including network and application servers, routers, Firewall, LAN, WAN, and VOIP systems.

Other responsibilities would be the configuration and installation of network and internet security devices along with the operation, maintenance and control of the telephone system. This includes all facets of software, hardware, support, and changes related to the system. The support includes database management support, IP connections, messaging and voice recording systems, for the VOIP PBX and IP phones throughout the company.

The Candidate will work in conjunction with the security officer to ensure that the integrity of the network is maintained. Will also assists with IDS (Intrusion detection) and IPS (Intrusion Protection) of the network.

Deploys and maintains firewalls, cryptography systems, and all network host security activities.

Will assists the IT Infrastructure Manager to determine resource requirements, needed to keep the network in a production status and in preparing the Network budget by recommending purchases of hardware, software and system maintenance needed to operate the network.

The Candidate will evaluate end user needs and recommend appropriate equipment and software configurations.

Additionally the candidate will be responsible for wireless connectivity within the business. Ensures wireless connections are secure and safe and meets encryption requirements. Will be required to maintain comprehensive documentation describing the LAN's layout and operational considerations.

The Network Administrator is responsible for the installation and configuration and labelling of network hardware in the Datacentre.

Constant analyses and monitoring of systems and application usage and will plan for growth or increases in network capacity. Daily and weekly reporting on usage to management, including any anomalies and or incidents. Practices network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information. Performs related duties as required
