Koolking:Bros it depends on how you want to run your family. some men like their wife to do all the chores in the house, while their own is to brush their teeth, take bath and wait for their wife to do all things. While some men do not care, they will just do everything on their own, without waiting for their wives. If the op has children and the wife can still take care all the house chores, even as she wakes up by 6am, op should not complain. unless her waking by 6am affect their activities for the day, that's where op can complain 3 Likes |

sheilak: Typically in Lagos with it's peculiar traffic situation, are you saying, it's ideal and reasonable for a wife to wake up by 6am to prepare the children for school and manage to meet up appointments at work by 8/830am? Or meet up with the children school bus coming by 630am? There are situations that require common sense. As a wife, you need not wait for your husband to nag and tell the world. What is responsibility? ..."force that binds you to the courses of action demanded by that force" For the Op to wake up 4/5am every morning to go to work, it means he lives in a city where traffic is unpredictable. I still stand my opinion based on observation: The Op wife is irresponsible |

Koolking: You are irresponsible, irrational and controlling. Where in the Op's post did he mention that he lives in Lagos? Where in his post did he stated that it affects her work/school/home? The Op did not give a reason other than 'I think 4/5am is the ideal time to wake up, although it does not affect her but she must wake up at 4/5am because I am the man and that is what I think' 17 Likes |

vybzkartel: our minds adjust itself such wen dat we have things that require our getting up early, we do or otherwise we lay asleep. so don't expect her to wake up 4am on daily basis wen it's actually not useful. but for d prayer aspect sha. she should learn to be prayerfu.l nothing like a woman's prayers 1 Like |

vybzkartel: You just want to create an issue where there is none. You dont even have a troublesome wife, that is why you want to give her some trouble. Your ability to wake 4am makes you no better than your wife. How much has it added to your account ? Arrange your family devotion to start and end 6am to 6:30am. 9 Likes |

JeffreyJamez: When the kids are there and need to be prepared for school. I would say 6:00am is late. Op you need to love her anyways. Na for better or worse. Apart from this, does she follow you to church, cook your food, tidy the house, perform her conjugal duties. If yes, they should cover up her other 'sins'. |

vybzkartel: Does your wife work? Do you have children? If she fits in to her work and children schedule, there is no problem. Home chores is not easy at all. You can encourage her to pray when praying. Don't complicate your wife's health. Many men has ignorantly killed their wife by forcing them beyond their physical and mental capacity 6 Likes |

misspicy:oya come na just let ous have one baby boy then u can go stay on your own. You are not serious.u want to me judging real life with all these nuisance that come to NL to spill nonsense? Marriage is sweet when you marry your friend not when you friendzone them. Well marriage is not by force like u use to say but at the same time marriage is a sweet thing.people like mercy johnson or annie adibia will never come out to rant about their marriage not because they don't have issues but rather because they married someone who who understand them & can easly settle issues before it get out of hands...it all depends on what you want.At the same time marriage is not what you force a man into or what you rush into. Be ready & let him be more ready. That's why i prefer long year of dating before marriaf IMO.even if the lady is 35,we will still date for atleast 2years before i can say yes. 2 Likes |

@op what is your definition of your own virtuous woman. My husband wakes up at 5:30 everyday cos he works in another city while I wake up 7:30 cos my office is just 10mins walk and I resume 9am. My husband even tries as much as possible to tiptoe out of the room so he won't wake me and each time I wake up he apologies. So now I pretend to sleep if he is awake so he wnt apologies. Infact he packed all his shirt and trousers to anoda room and dresses up there so as not to disturb my sleep. This is because he is reasonable and considerate and that does not stop me from doing my house chores. I just want to enjoy it while it last before kids comes our way and I have to wake up earlier. Abeg life is too short . If she doesn't have anything to I see no reason why i shud be awake before six. 13 Likes |

Who told u a virtuous woman wakes up by 6am ? , I'm sure ur wife isn't working yet , and u have no kids for now , so what 's the point ?, nobody teaches anyone to be a wife or a mother , by the time she becomes a mother ,I'm sure u woulnt be the one to tell her to wake up early . I wake up by 4.00am , cos I have to prepare food for the kids , get them ready for sch,do sch runs and get to the office by 7.15. ........ I think u just want to pick on her cos I don't see anything wrong with her waking up by 6am, if I have nothing doing like her, I would even wake up by 7.00 am 6 Likes |

Who is dis stupid ingrate of a n attention seeking man?? You call waking up at 6am late? After probably doing all the chores in the house and taking care of your kids? You have a problem. We know your type. Thank goodness she no even answer you. A lesson to women. No matter how much you give, men will still want more. In fact they are ready to keep taking and taking until you are dead then before you even rot in the ground they marry someone else who will turn your kids to household and punching bag. Take out time to rest and take care of yourself now. And as for you saying she doesn't pray..., we all know that's a lie. That she doesn't pray loud and do eye service for you to see is what is paining you so. Nzuzu! 4 Likes |
